A person is seen walking down the street, following a VIP vehicle.
???: Sir, XCOM is here.
???: We will wait for the right opportunity. Our mission is to capture the VIP. Kill him if XCOM gets to him first.
???: Understood, we await your command.
(With XCOM)
The Skyranger is approaching the destination.
Eliza: Alright squad, you will be concealed for this mission. Engage only when you have eyes on the VIP. Our goal is to capture him.
The Squad for the mission was Mia, Bruce, and four rookies. Mia and Bruce were the only ones fully healed from the last mission.
Mia has equipped a flashbang and two Medkits. She is carrying an Assault rifle. Her gremlin is flying around greeting everyone.
Bruce has equipped two Frag Grenades and two flashbangs. He is carrying a cannon and a Grenade Launcher.
The Rookies have equipped Frag Grenades and Flashbangs. They are all carrying Assault rifles.
The Inside of the Skyranger turns red, indicating their arrival. The Squad gears up and prepares to jump out. The Skyranger hatch opens and drops the rope. The Squad Jumps out and lands on the street.
The squad quickly moves behind cars and awaits orders.
Eliza: Alright, the VIP is two blocks north of your position. Stay hidden until you get close to the VIP. His capture is our main priority.
Bruce: Understood commander. Alright, let's get moving.
(Avenger)
Eliza is watching alongside Bradford and Shen as the Squad is moving towards the VIP's Location.
Bradford: Seems everything is going alright.
Eliza: That's what I don't like Bradford, everything is going fine. Something doesn't feel right.
Shen is on her tablet keeping an eye on the field. The squad finally reaches the VIP location and awaits orders.
Eliza: Alright squad, your free to engage.
Shots go off but they aren't from the XCOM squad.
Eliza: What is happening!?
Bruce: Commander, Unknowns have fired upon us and Advent. We are one soldier down.
Eliza: Get to cover and fire back. Our objective is to capture the VIP.
Mia: Understood commander!
(Battle Zone)
Bruce sprints towards a car for closer cover to get a better angle. Mia and the remaining rookies provide him with covering fire.
The Unknown group notices and the Captain immediately takes action.
Captain: Split up. Half of you delay X-Com. The rest of us will capture the VIP.
The group follows the order. The captain then turns around to notice Advent arriving. Vipers arrive to back up Advent Captains and troopers.
