(Avenger/ Bridge)

Eliza: Alright squad, we are to neutralize all Hostiles. Afterward, the Avenger will arrive and pick-up teams will transport the Meld onto the avenger. However, the Chosen will also be in the area. Meaning I can't promise to get all of you out alive. 

The Squad nods in understanding knowing the odds will not be with them on this mission. 

Eliza: The three Factions will also be sending their squad to assist, but they will be arriving late. 

Selena, the Ranger of the group steps forward. 

Selena: We understand the risks Commander. 

Eliza: Very well, now load up. Skyranger leaves in 10 minutes. 

The Squad nods and heads toward the armory. Eliza looks at the screen and signs. 

Eliza: What should I expect Bradford? 

Bradford stands next to Eliza. 

Bradford: I don't know. (Y/N) is different, if I had to say, he is the Elder's favorite Chosen. 

Shen: That's because he is. 

Eliza and Bradford are surprised by Shen's arrival. 

Shen: His technology is more powerful than the other Chosen technology. His Aliens under his command also get benefits from this. 

Eliza: So his army gets upgrades while everyone else gets nothing. 

Shen: Pretty much. 

Eliza turns back to the screen when hearing the Skyranger leaves the Avenger. 

(Two hours later/ With the Squad)

The squad selected for the mission was made up of three Grenadiers, one Ranger, and two Supports. 

Selena, the Ranger of the Squad has two years of experience under her belt. She is a survivor of the invasion. She was too young to join XCOM back then so she didn't join the fight. She lived under Advent for 18 years before deciding to join the fight. She left behind her two young sisters and parents. Selena's parents made her promise to come back once the war ends. Selena plans to keep the promise but has a bad feeling about today. 

Bruce, one of the Grenadiers of the squad has ten years of experience. Losing your family during the invasion takes a toll on you. Bruce joined XCOM ten years ago to fight back against ADVENT, He began to lose hope but regained it when the Commander was rescued and proved herself when leading the first mission when she returned. 

Noah, the second Grenadier of the squad has five years of experience. Noah was an ADVENT bodyguard for a VIP. He was one of the rare few that didn't disappear.  He worked alongside a Viper who had ten years of experience. Noah joined XCOM when his parents were accused of treason. He was one of the six members of the squad sent to arrest his parents. It hurt him to arrest his parents but he needed to do his job. It wasn't until they were going to be executed on the spot that he betrayed everything he knew and killed three members of his squad. He was pushed to the ground and knocked out. He woke up two hours later to find himself and his family in a forest outside their city. He was told by his parents that his partner saved them and got them out of the city before disappearing into the forest. They were found by a Resistance Cell an hour later.
