"What the hell?" Sky muttered, a wave passing through her head as her mind flashed with memories of Hope, then she collapsed on the floor.
Sky approached Hope at the renaissance fair.
"So..."
"Yeah. Everyone remembers everything." Hope assured, tears brimming her eyes.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn't remember earlier. You were one of the most life changing parts in my life, and I freaking forgot you." Sky confessed.
"It's not that." Hope wiped her eyes. "It's...Landon."
"Oh." Sky muttered, moving a chair across from Hope and sitting on it.
Sky held Hopes hand. "Whoever he chooses, I'll always be here for you Hope. No matter what." Sky pulled her in for a hug, as Hope buried her face in Sky's collar, tears wetting her flannel.
"Hope?"
They released each other, turning to the voice.
"Aunt Freya?" Hope wiped away her tears as her voice broke more with every word.
They both rushed to each other, hugging each other tightly, letting Sky slip away and into the Shadows.
"I haven't seen you in a while." Sky noted as the top hat shadow appeared across from her.
"As I said last time, I only appear when needed." He said, sliding into the bench next to her.
Sky sat in the park, staring at the trees. "You ever feel like, no matter what, you'll never get someone?"
"I mean, I have felt that. Lots of times, if I'm honest." He said, playing with his hat.
Sky let out a breath. "Why're you here now?"
"Like I said, because you need me."
