Sky sat in Jed's bedroom, playing PS4 with him.
"Hey, you're cheating!" Sky yelled when Jed shoved her a bit. She shoved back as Jed's character finally died.
"Hey, you did it too!" Jed complained, laughing as they both laid back into the bed. Often after the time that Sky had come back, she would hang out with Jed a ton. He wasn't as annoying or mean or self-centered like some of the others. He was calm and understanding, like Hope.
Although, when Hope wasn't available, she would always hang out with Jed, like they had a bond now.
"Where are you going?" Jed asked after Sky stood.
"Hell, hopefully." Sky said as she rolled her eyes at him. "I gotta go check up on Josie."
"Why you always pining over her?" Jed asked as he laid up, still sitting on the bed.
"I'm not pining." Sky rolled her eyes, dropping the controller on the bed and walking out of the room.
"Hey, whatchu looking at?" Sky walked over to Josie, who immediately closed the books she was reading.
"Nothing." Josie muttered quickly.
"Alright then." Skylar put up her hands in defense. "I brought you something." She pulled out a box out from behind her and held it out for Josie, who accepted it and opened it, finding multiple flavors of donuts.
Josie smiled at her and placed down the box, urging Sky forwards for a hug.
Sky practically jumped into Josies arms, tightening her arms around her.
Josie, however, also missed Sky's strong arms around her, her scent of lavender, and the feel of her leather jacket brushing against her skin.
When they finally released each other, Skylar still lingered her hands near Josies arms, just as Josie still had her hands on Skylars waist.
Suddenly something inched them closer together. You probably wouldn't be able to tell which one was moving closer because soon enough they were centimeter's apart.
That's when Lizzie popped into the library right at that moment, making the two jump away from each other.
"Am I interrupting something?"
"No, no, I was just about to leave." Sky rubbed the back of her neck as she awkwardly waved to Josie, walking out the library.
"What?" Sky yelled at Hope.
"How could you not tell me earlier Hope?" Skyler ranted.
"The merge only happens when they're 22, Sky. They still have time." Hope assured.
"That's not fair."
"Dr Saltzman is talking to them now. It'll be okay." Hope rubbed Skylars arm.
Skylar glanced down. "I just want someone to understand. I love her."
Hope pulled her close to comfort her. "I know. I know."
