You walked down the halls of Hogwarts with you friends by your side when you heard a voice shout for you.
"Hey (L/N)!" You cringed, the way it sounded in Parkinson's voice was like nails on a chalkboard. You sighed telling your friends to go on without you an turned to face her.
"Yes Parkinson? Please make it quick I am trying to get to class." She sneered walking up to you.
"Oh yeah, well good luck doing that without your books!" She yanked your bag off your shoulder, nearly taking your arm with it.
"Really what's your damage Parkinson?" You said straightening yourself and rubbing your shoulder.
"My damage?" she laughed. "Ha the little Hufflepuff found a voice after all this time?" You just glared at her. Before you could say anything somebody else intervened.
"Pansy, what are you doing?" The familiar voice, so icy and smooth sent chills through you.
Pansy spun to face Draco, standing with his arms folded across his chest. You heart started at the sight. You were glad he was here. He was the only one she would listen too, and out of his little clique, he was the only one who didn't seem to despise you.
"What do you mean Dracy?" She asked hurt and fake innocence drenched her voice. You made a retching motion, not failing to catch Draco's attention. A smirk played on his lips. You caught his eye, Pansy took his smirk as permission to continue her antics though.
"If you guys are quite finished, I'd really like to get to charms now." You said cheerfully with a sarcastic smile and nod. Pansy's head whipped around, just as Draco's smirk cracked into a full grin making your smile warm a little. Pansy's nose scrunched up at this, she reached into her robe pocket. You backed up as she drew her wand.
"How dare yo-" before she could finish accusing you of whatever offended her, she was cut off.
"Pansy!" Draco barked at her. Making both of you jump. Draco himself even looked a little surprised. His cheeks slightly tinted. You were too distracted to see his fist clenched in his robe pocket, wrapped around his own wand. Her face turned to a full sneer, her wand hand staying at her side.
"Give her back her things, we don't want to be late either." Pansy growled in response and threw your bag at your feet books scattering from it.
"Great..." You bent to pick it up, Draco gave a quiet sigh of relief releasing his own wand back into his pocket. He made sure Pansy had begun to walk away before looking back to you. You already had all your books up.
"I'm sorry." He mumbled before rushing off to his class. You shook your head, trying not to let it get into your head as you nearly sprinted to class.
You didn't know why Pansy targeted you so much. It didn't use to be this way, it started at some point in fifth year. You actually didn't mind her before, you guys weren't exactly friends. But you may have been, you talked every once in awhile and got along fine.
Now it was like you couldn't even be in the same vicinity as each other. The weirdest part was Draco seemed friendlier towards you than before. Not that you two ever disliked each other. You just never talked and now it was like he took every opportunity to do so. Not that you minded. You had grown quite found of your friendship with Draco. But it always caused you more heat from Pansy. You sighed coming out of your thoughts as you slid into your desk barley making it in on time.
"I don't know how you do it everyday (y/n)..." Hannah mumbled sympathetically from beside you. You just gave her a smile as you pulled out your books and wand for class.
