Once back in junior high, Tsukishima asked Yamaguchi to come to a volleyball game. It was his older brother, Akiteru's last game for Karasuno. The whole three years, Akiteru hadn't let Kei come to any of his games, saying it would make him to nervous if he knew his little brother was watching. Kei made a decision to sneak into this game because he wanted to at least catch his big brother's last game. The young Tsukishima had looked up to his brother. It was the reason Kei played volleyball. He was proud that his brother was the ace of a top volleyball team.
But, it all came crumbling down that day.
That immature perception. He wasn't on the court that day.
He wasn't Karasuno's ace.
"So lame..."
A younger Kei Tsukishima said those words after seeing Akiteru looking up at him from the side lines. Wide eyed and shocked.
After that day Yamaguchi began to noticed a change in his best friend. Like a light went dim that day. Yamaguchi felt like Kei had grown up. Grown past him and Yamaguchi would get left behind if he couldn't keep up.
Yamaguchi had a funny thought that day. The thought seemed more mature than he was ready for.We are so fragile.
...
Tsukishima looked up at the clear blue sky.
Clouds drifted by as a slight breeze rustled the green grass below. The vast field in front of him was sprinkled with white flowers. A gust of wind twisted across the landscape, making little white petals dance above the field. Tsukishima spun around trying to figure out how he got here.
In the distance, he made out a slim tan back and a mop of earth toned hair, sitting in the grass.Freckles.
Thousands of freckles splashed across the slim figure's skin.
"Yamaguchi..." He said under his breath.
Tsukishima looked at his best friend. Yamaguchi was completely naked, sitting in the field of flowers. Tsukishima froze what was he doing? He thought.
Yamaguchi slowly stood up and turned around. His half lidded eyes looking up at Tsukishima. Looking down at Yamaguchi, he scanned his face. A tint of pink caressed his cheeks. His lips looked plump and soft. Tsukishima was unable to keep his eyes off his best friend.
"Tsuki..."
Yamaguchi made his way closer to Tsukishima. The taller male unable to move his body as Yamaguchi approached.
"Tsuki..."
Heat took over Tsukishima's entire body. His face flushed, eyes locked on the smaller male.
"Tsuki..."
It was hot.
"Tsukki..."
Too hot.
"Tsukki..."
Yamaguchi's lips were closing in on Tsukishima's overheated face.
"Tsuki..."
Why was it so hot?
A flash of reality hit Tsukishima like a cold splash of water. He shot up out of bed, beads of sweat glazed his forehead. Breathing heavily he tried to calm his racing heart beat.
"What the hell was that?" Tsukishima thought to himself. He looked around his room. A dream. A really weird dream.
He wiped the sweat from his forehead, swinging his leg over the side of the bed. Before he was able to get up he noticed something strange in between his legs.
