Attention, yet

What does it say

About me?

Am I basing

My self-woth on

You or am I just

Trying to see

You as who you

Actually are?

I try to catch

You looking at

Me, as if I

Am expecting

It despite the

Truth that you aren't

Nevertheless,

I still try to

Vy for your not-

Needed attention,

Do I really

Care or do I

Just want to be

Appreciated

By someone else?

I vy for your

Attention, but

Should I allow

It or cut it

Off at the bud?

Though, I have a

Feeling it will be

Like all the other

Times and you won't

Be feeling that

Way at all, so

I shall just stay

Off to the side

Wondering, but

Not pursuing

As I should do

So I do not

Get hurt any

More times than I

Surely do need
