After One went back to school, Eleven and the group searched for the gate. A lot happened, but eventually, El found it. Closing it, she used more of her powers than she's ever used before. As the gate finally closed, she collapsed to the ground.

Hopper instantly picked her up and drove her to the hospital. They ran tests but came up with nothing. Of course they came up with nothing. How could the doctors understand El?

"How is she?"

Hopper looked up and saw Mike and the other kids running down the hallway.

"They're running tests," Hop said shakily.

"You okay?" Will asked.

"I hate hospitals," Hop mumbled. He cleared his throat, rubbing his hands together.

"They're not going to be able to do anything for her, are they?" Dustin asked.

"Probably not," Max sighed. "She's not. . . Normal. They aren't going to be able to tell what's wrong with her."

"You're right," Steve said under his breath. He reached in his pocket and pulled out the paper One had given him a few weeks ago. He wasn't sure why, but he never left home without it.

"But there is someone who will know exactly what's wrong with her and how to help."

The group stood on the stranger's doorstep, eagerly waiting for the door to open. Each one of them glanced over at El to see her barely standing up. Mike was the only reason she was on her feet.

Hopper got her released as soon as possible. Once he had, they got in the car and headed towards the address One gave to Steve. When the door opened, Hop instantly recognized the girl in front of them.

"It's you."

"Evening, Chief," One smiled as she crossed her arms over her chest. The stranger looked over the tired and confused kids.

"Can I help you?" Her question got stuck in her throat when her eyes landed on Eleven. Without saying anything, she grabbed her.

"Wait. . ." Mike stuttered.

"Come in," the stranger ordered.

She left them stunned as she helped Eleven into the house and carried her into a spare bedroom. As she helped her lay down, the kids came running into the room.

"What are you doing?"

"We need to help her."

"What's going on?"

"Enough." The stranger turned around and calmly crossed her arms over her chest.

"Look, I know you're all scared, but I have this under control," she said to soothe them. "I need you guys to take a few steps back. Okay? I can help her, but I can't do it if you're standing right behind me."

"What are you going to do?" Chief Hopper asked.

"Heal her."

The group stayed in the room with El, but they stood out of One's way. They watched as she did something they'd never even seen El do. She stood up, her hand extended. As she moved her hand over El, the kids noticed waves of light blue energy flowing from the stranger's hand. As she moved her hand over El, El's wounds began to heal.

One moved her hand over El a few times. When she was done, El's wounds were almost completely healed.

"Is she okay?"
