IMAGINE RACHEL TEASING YOU ABOUT YOUR CRUSH ON DICK, AND HIM HEARING IT.

Dick Grayson - at first, he was only your work partner. But before you knew it, you had developed a full-on crush on him, and had tried to build the courage to tell him, but then you realized that if you had a crush on him and he didn't reciprocate, it could ruin your friendship. So you decided to ignore your feelings towards him, but it only made them stronger - or in your opinion, worsened them.

Your thoughts had wandered off to Dick as you had been chopping vegetables for dinner, you had a silly smile on your face while you slowly chopped the carrots into pieces - and because of an unfortunate coincidence, Rachel had come to the kitchen just in time and hopped to sit on the counter, which made you snap out from your trance.

"Dreaming about Dick again?" Rachel smirked at you. A sheepish smile spread on your face which got Rachel grinning and looking away for a bit. "He's clearly been in your thoughts for at least a month. Probably longer but it's coming more and more evident - like c'mon, you're in looove and almost everyone knows about it. Like, Dick is the only one who seems like he hasn't figured it out..." she rolled her eyes and you let out a small groan.

"Why did I have to confess it to you in the first place..."

Rachel just smiled wider and let out a giggle. "Maybe I should accidentally tell him about your feelings..."

"Don't you dare." you huffed and Rachel bit her lip, before starting to sing quietly.

"Y/N has a crush on Diiii-iiick..."

"Be quiet! He could hear us", you hissed but Rachel ignored you, continuing to sing.

You didn't know that this whole time, Dick had been listening behind the corner. At first, he was confused when you and Rachel were talking about him - but then he realized that you and Rachel were talking about your crush on him. He grinned to himself - now he had a reason to take you on a date.

"Y/N." Dick's voice almost made you jump as you were leaning on a counter and watching the soup boil.

But after looking over and realizing it was Dick, you put your hand on your chest and let out a sigh of relief. "Dick, you scared me."

Dick hummed, and then said, "I was wondering if you'd want to grab some food and go to the park tonight?"

You immediately froze, not realizing why Dick would propose something like that. But Dick just smiled at you until you finally composed yourself and stuttered, "s-sure, why not... it's not like I have anything else to do? Yeah."

Dick grinned and crossed his arms across his chest. "How about six-thirty?"

You bit your lip and muttered, "okay."

And just after Dick left the kitchen, Rachel entered it and smiled at you slyly. "Well... it's a date night, right?"

You nodded, and couldn't hide your smile anymore.

"...yeah. It's a date night."
