Chapter 5 ~ Dinner?

~Katherine POV~

It was the next day and me and Makayla were on the sofa and were watching youtube.

"You should invite your boyfriend over for dinner and a movie night," Makayla said

"He's not my boyfriend," I blurted out. I felt my face heat up again.

"Your blushing again," she said smiling

"S-shut up" I said

"But you really should invite him over, so I can properly meet him," she said

"Maybe," I responded

"Pleassssee," she begged with puppy dog eyes.

"Fine," I said and rolled my eyes.

"Thank you, Thank you, Thank you" she said while pulling me into a hug.

Makayla told me to go now. I said I didn't want to but she picked me up, put me outside and shut the door. I went to open the door, but it was locked. Makayla looked out the window, smiled and did the hand motion to shoo. I walked to his door, pulled my hand up to knock. I hesitated for a second but then breathed and knocked.

I waited for a second before the door opened. He looked at me and smiled. I blushed a bit.

"I-I was wondering if you wanted to come over for d-dinner and watch a movie tonight with me and Makayla" I studered.

"Sure, I would love to. What time?" He asked

"Uhhh, does 6 work?" I asked

"Yep," He smiled

"Cool. I'll see you then," I said

"Yep see you then" he said and waved bye and I waved back. Then I walked back to my flat. I went to open it and it was still locked, so I knocked. Makayla came to the door and opened it.

"So how did it gooo?" she asked

"It went well. He'll be over at 6," I responded

"YAY!" she said and jumped up and down smiling

~Time Skip~

It was 10 minutes till 6 and I had dinner ready at the table. I decided to make Fettuccine Alfredo. I hope he likes it. While we waited I decided to read a bit of wattpad while I waited.

Pretty soon there was a knock at the door. So I went to open it and Matthew was standing there with a bouquet of blue orchids. I let him in and he handed me the bouquet. "Thank you," I said. Then I put them in a vase and called Makayla to come eat dinner.

We sat down and ate dinner. Matthew said he really liked it so that was good. After dinner I went to pick out a movie. Makayla told Him that she needed to talk to him in private so I just waited on the couch.

~Makayla POV~

I pulled Matthew aside and asked him a question.

"So why did you bring flowers?" I questioned him and raised an eyebrow

"I-I just wanted to do something nice for her since she i-invited me," he stuttered

"I know you like her" I said

"W-what? What makes you say that?" he smiled nervously

"The way you look at her. The fact that you are always nervous around her," I smiled

"Fine. I do like her, but what if she doesn't like me back" he said

"Have you seen the way she looks at you? Or the way she stutters when she talks to you?" I questioned

"No?" he says

"Damn, you are very blind" I said "Just don't break her heart or I will break you" I threatened

"O-okay, I will keep that in mind" he says nervously

I told him we should get back to Katherine before she comes looking for us. So we head back and she is waiting for us on the couch.

~Katherine POV~

"What took you guys so long?" I questioned

"Oh I just showed Matthew around," Makayla said

"Okay," I said suspiciously

I had decided for us to watch 'To all the boys I loved before'. We all sat down on the couch. I sat on the left side, Matthew was in the middle and Makayla was on the other end. Then I started the movie. I couldn't help but notice Matthew would keep scooching closer to me until he was right next to me. I laughed.

"You know if you wanted to sit closer to me you could've just asked instead of awkwardly scooting over every few seconds," I said

"I just wasn't sure if you were comfortable with it," he said nervously

I decided to be a little bold and rest my head on his chest. At first he was hesitant and tensed up but soon he relaxed. Then he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and pulled me a little closer. We stayed like that for the rest of the movie.

We ended up watching all 3 movies, and we finished by midnight. Makayla had fallen asleep.

"It's pretty late. We should probably head to bed," I said

I noticed Matthew was pretty tired. So I got up and picked up Makayla and took her to her room. I went back and helped Matthew get up. He couldn't walk that well either. I decided I would just let him sleep in my bed. I brought him to my room and he laid right down on the bed.

I quickly got dressed into some night wear. After I was changed I made sure Matthew was comfortable and under the blankets. I kissed him on the forehead and went to leave. I then felt a hand grab mine.

"Stay. Please," I heard him say

"But-" I say

"Please," he begs

"Fine," I respond

I lay down in bed next to him and get comfortable. I feel an arm wrap around me and pull me close. My face heats up and I hesitate and tense up for a second but then I melt into his touch and snuggle up closer with my head on his chest.
