Chapter 18 ~ Paris

~Matthew POV~

Robaire and I decided to surprise the girls with a trip to Paris. We had been secretly packing our bags so the girls wouldn't have to worry. We were leaving tomorrow so I had us all go to sleep early. The girls were confused but listened and went to bed.

I woke up early and got ready to go. I took a shower and brushed my teeth. Then I made smoothies for breakfast. After I was done I went to wake up Katherine. I walked into our room and she was sleeping peacefully.

"Katherine?" I say

She didn't stir.

"Katherine, my love it's time to wake up," I say

"No, not yet," she said sleepily

"But we have to get going or we're going to be late," I say

"What?" she says sitting up straight

"Let's just get ready to go. Be sure to wear something comfy," I say

She gets up and goes to take a shower. I go and sit in the kitchen next to the counter. After a couple of minutes she came out in one of my hoodies and some sweatpants. She looked so cute.

"Wait, where are we going?" she asked

"It's a secret," I say

"Aw can't you give me a hint," she begs

"Nope, you will know once we get there," I say

"Fine," she says

She comes and sits next to me. I grab her smoothie and hand it to her. She thanks me and starts drinking. Once we finish our breakfast we go and grab the stuff we need in a small backpack. Once we were ready we headed out the door and headed over to Makayla and Robaire's.

I knocked on the door and Robaire answered.

"Yeah. Are you guys ready?" I ask

"Yep, are you guys ready?" he asks

"Mhm," I respond

Pretty soon Makayla walks out in a similar outfit to Katherine's. We headed to the car and got in. We had decided to just take one car so we wouldn't have to worry about two cars while we were gone. The girls would not stop asking where we were going so Robaire put on some music.

Pretty soon they stopped asking questions and started singing. I noticed we were pretty close but the girls were still singing their hearts out. I turned to face Robaire and he looked over at me. I did a head nod towards the airport in front of us and he nodded. We arrived at the drop off area and I stopped the car.

I turned around to see the girls somehow still singing so I turned down the radio all the way.

"Why did you turn it off?" Katherine asked

"Because we are at our first stop," I say

The girls looked outside and their eyes lit up.

"W-why are we at the airport?" They asked

"You'll find out soon enough. I have to go drop off the car so I meet you guys in their," I say

Then they get out, grab their stuff and walk into the Airport. I quickly drop off the car and make my way to the Airport. I get in and find the others. Once I walk over to them we head to baggage drop off. Then after that we head to security. Luckily it wasn't too long of a wait and we got through pretty quickly.

After security we started walking to our gate. This was when the girls started asking questions again. Even though we told them to just wait till we get to the gait. We finally got to the gate. The girls rushed to the sign and looked up. After a second the sign showed where we were going 'Paris'.

The two looked over at us looking shocked. After a second or two they finally spoke, "We're going to Paris?" They asked in union.

We nodded at them and they came running at us and gave us a big hug.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Katherine asked

"Because we didn't want you guys to worry and we wanted to surprise you," I say

Then we walked over to the seats and sat down. Pretty soon we started boarding. I got Katherine the window seat since I had a feeling she likes those seats. Once we got all comfortable we started making our way to the runway.

I could tell she was a little scared so I grabbed her hand and squeezed a bit. She looked over at me and smiled. I smiled back. Then she sat back and laid her head on my shoulder. Pretty soon she was passed out. Not too long after I fell asleep too.

When I woke up we only had like 5 minutes till we were going to land, so I packed my stuff up. Soon after Katherine also woke up and packed her stuff up too. Then we landed. We headed straight to baggage claim and got our bags. After that we went to get our rental car and went to the house we had rented.

The house was so pretty. We were all kind of jet lagged and tired so we headed to our rooms and fell asleep.
