Chapter 27
Traitor's Lair
"Is he already caught?" Chae fixed her round glasses. The other detective, Dowoon, who's half of his attention fixated on the twirling of the handcuff between his fingers, nodded. "Yeah." The latter answered and eyed on the twins.
Chae followed his view of sight and saw the twins sitting beside each other on a bench. The girl leaned her head on her brother's shoulder.
"Well done, Hwang." She cheered and got back to doing her task in her own little desk.
Meanwhile, the twins stayed silent for a few minutes. None of them spoke but they both know that they needed to lean on each other at times like this. With Yeji leaning her head on her brother's shoulder, and Hyunjin slowly caressing his dear sister's hair, are enough for the two of them to know what they wanted without actually saying it - rest.
Being part of the organization is indeed tiring most of the times. The work and tasks that piled up became the reason why they hadn't been checking on each other that much than they normally used to do. But the fact that they caught a criminal together was more than fascinating to hear. The both of them knew they will make such an amazing partners.
"What are you feeling?" The brother decided to speak.
The sister briefly let out a sigh before answering, "Fine."
Hyunjin playfully smacked the back of her sister's head making the latter feel annoyed at him once again. "Why did you do that?!" She frowned, hitting him in the arm.
"Fine? Really?" Hyunjin laughed. "You should feel proud and amazing. We did a great job and I guess working with you back there was fun and easy."
"So you actually thought that I was not easy to work with?" Yeji's eyes narrowed.
Hyunjin decided to act like he's thinking for a moment. "You're stubborn and you annoy me sometimes. I imagine how we'll do once we're in a battlefield against someone. I guess we'll just bicker with each other nonstop." He said, scrunching his nose.
Yeji stood up and glared at him. "I don't do that!"
Hyunjin did the same and raised a brow. "You do."
"You're the one who starts with the tease, every time!" Yeji remarked and rolled her eyes.
