With the second semester almost halfway through, Christmas vacation is right around the corner. Year end party proposals from different clubs around the university are starting to pile up in the council office.

Cassidy is currently walking peacefully in the hallways of the main building. She just finished a discussion meeting with some club presidents that wanted to do joint events.

Her legs abruptly stopped. Someone poked her side, causing her to suddenly yelp. She swiftly peeks behind her.

"Hi!" David is beaming at the council president like a crazy kid.

She glares at him while holding on to her chest. "You're going to give me a heart attack."

He just chuckles at her. "You're finished with council work today, aren't you?"

"Yeah, you could say that... But I think I'd check—"

"Nice! Let's go!" He gently grabbed her by the wrist and immediately started walking, dragging Cassidy with him.

"What— Wait, Dave! Where are we going?"

David didn't answer. He just playfully glanced and smiled at her, not pausing his strides.

She dramatically rolls her eyes at his behavior. She groans as she lazily moves to follow wherever he is presently leading her.

They exited the building, went across the soccer field, then traversed towards the old Engineering buildings. After some more minutes of sluggish walking, they arrived in a free area under a huge tree, not so far from the open field.

The current time is past five in the afternoon. Most of the classes are finished. A lot of the students are loitering in the benches around the open field. There are athletes that have already started their afternoon training. Although the sun is still up, the breeze is evidently colder than usual.

David finally lets go of Cassidy's wrist. Then, consecutively, he pulls out one of his towels from his sports bag and lays it on the grass. He turns to her with a sweet smile, "Sit there."

She was just staring at him unamused.

He simply stared back at her.

After a minute, the council president gave up with the silent battle and eventually sat on the towel quietly.

As soon as she settled down, David swiftly laid with his back onto the grass and carefully placed his head on Cassidy's lap.

She scoffs at his sudden actions, "What— Why— Dave... care to explain what in the world are you trying to do right now?"

"Isn't it obvious? I'm trying to get some rest. Soccer training is taking a toll on me these days." He closes his eyes and smiles satisfyingly, "Wow... Cassi, your lap is more comfortable than I imagined."

She quickly replies in a soft mumble, "I— You know— I can report you for sexual harassment."

He confidently answers in a smirk, "Yes, you can. But, no, you won't."

Cassidy is now visibly blushing. She was silent for a moment while David was obviously enjoying his so-called rest.

There are some students passing near the area who are carrying Christmas decorations. In some parts of the university, there are visibly some organizational rooms and hallways that already unveil the upcoming holidays.

"Does the soccer team even know that there are upcoming holidays?"

He chuckles a little, "Of course, we know! We just don't care. We're like robots right now. No emotions. No vacations."
