Tristans P.O.V

"Okay so you guys know the plan right?" I asked Talon and Zane. They both nodded.

"How do you know for sure the latch is broken?" Zane asked.

"My mom broke it when she tried to break into the cabin."

Zane nodded.

"Let's go," I said.

I walked out from behind the clump of trees first. Zane and Talon would wait a few minutes before walking out. As I made my way across the clearing, I got a really bad vibe. The cabin came into view and I clumped my hands into fists at my sides. If he didn't let her go, he was gonna have hell to pay.

When I got to the front door of the cabin a large guy with short black spiky hair stepped in front of me.

"No trespassers allowed," he said.

"I have an....appointment."

The guy snorted. "Alright. Your name."

"Tristan."

The guys eyes looked like they were gonna pop out of his head. He didn't say anything, just nodded and let me into the cabin.

"Alpha Damon is in the main room."

This time I didn't say anything but just nodded and walked inside. I walked down to the end of the hall that would lead me to the main room.

"I've been waiting awhile for you. I'm glad you finally decided to show up," Damon said staring into the fireplace. The glow of the fire lit up his face making him seem almost normal and not evil.

"You didn't think I'd skip out on this did you?"

Damon still stared at the fire and shrugged. "I was kinda hoping that maybe you would."

"Why?"

"Because then there would be a chase. And that's much more fun," he said looking me straight in the eye. There was something seriously wrong with this guy.

"Well I hate to dissappoint you." Right about now Talon and Zane should be climbing through the window and on their way to the room Lilly was in.

"It's okay. This is fine to "

"So what are you gonna do to me now that I'm here?"

Damon sat down on the arm chair that was in the corner of the room. "You're gonna have to wait and see." Damon nodded and I was more than confused. But then Ryan stepped into the room and punched me in the face. It was a pretty hard punch but not enough to make me fall to the floor.

"It's nice to see you big brother," Ryan sneared at me.

"I'm not your brother." I wiped at my nose and rubbed the blood on my jeans.

"I wish it was true also."

"So this is what's gonna happen, Tristan. You're gonna die today, Ryan is going to inherit is alpha traits like he was supposed to in the first place and no one is ever gonna know about you. Sound good?" Damon asked.

I shook my head. "What about Lilly?"

"I'm gonna let her go once you're gone."

I shook my head and took a step back. "No. You're gonna let her go first. Or I'm gonna get her myself."

Damon chuckled. "I don't think you stand a chance on your own."

I looked around the room. There were about three other members in the room. Two of them were standing by the doorway and the other one was standing next to Ryan. It was sad that Ryan needed his own guard.

"So take my offer or I'm just gonna kill you both right here, right now."

Just then another guy came running into the room.

"Alpha, we got bad news."

"What?" Damon asked in an icy tone.

"The girl. She's not in her room. She escaped."

Damon shot up to his feet. " Go find her! She can't be far!" Damon shouted then turned to me. "I told you to come alone."

I shrugged. "I did come alone."

Damon was more than outraged. "I'm gonna end this once and for all." Damon pulled out a gun and aimed at me.

I froze up for a minute. Damon was about to pull the trigger but I quickly changed into my wold form and knocked him to the ground before he had the chance. I shifted back so that I could punch him in the face and I did my best to get the gun out of his hand. Damon was able to punch me in the mouth.

It seemed to take hours for me to grab the gun but in reality it only took a few minutes.

This time I pointed the gun at him. Ryan seemed a little more than shocked and looked as if he was gonna attack me but I warned him not to otherwise I'd shoot his brains out.

"Come on, you don't wanna kill your own father now do you?"

"Why not? You wanted to kill your own son."

Damon shifted into his wolf form and sprang at me. I pulled the trigger, shooting him in the chest.

I watched his body lay limp on the floor. Every now and then he twitched but that was it.

It was finally over.

Lilly's P.O.V.

The room was small and quiet. Too quiet. I could hear every little sound and it made me nervous. Tristan was dead. He was gone. Forever.

"I'm sure he's okay," Talon said rubbing my knee to comfort me. It didn't help.

We werd in the "safe room" as my brother called it. It was like a small room that was underground. I don't know how they found this place but I didn't care.

My dad was out getting some food and water for me. I think he also said something about getting a doctor.

I heard the door squeak open. Talon tensed up. Only four people knew about this place. It was either my dad or Zane.

I was more than surprised to see that it was Tristan. I got up from the chair I was sitting on and ran to him. I kissed Tristan.

Talon cleared his throat but I didn't care. Tristan was alive. He was here with me.

"Where's Zane?" I asked once we broke apart.

Tristian rubbed his thumb along my cheek. "I'm sorry. He's dead," he whispered.

I stared at Tristan. He had dried blood under his nose and a little bit of blood coming from his forehead.

"Zane's dead?" I asked barely able to speak

Tristan nodded. "I'm so sorry, Lilly."

I shook my head. I didn't know if I wanted to cry or scream or even do both. So I just stared at Tristan instead.

"What happens now?" I asked.

Tristan smiled. "We can have our own life now. No more running or hiding."

I smiled at him. I know that was supposed to help and it did a little but I still felt sad about losing one of my best friends.
