her eyes fluttered open and she looked around. she was on top of the roof from an abandoned construction building. she immediately stood up confused with the surrounding. it looked so real.
when she was looking around, she saw a young man. he was probably around her age. he had both his arms rested on the fence that was placed at the edge of the building. she stared him for a moment. his soft black hair blown by the breeze. he looked- in peace.
her heart was beating like crazy as she walked closer towards the man. he quickly turned his head to the side when he sensed a presence and his eyes widened. she stopped on her tracks, quite shocked. his left eye was cerulean blue.
this man had fine structure, he was extremely handsome. could almost say that he's her type. she stared into his eyes.
sorrow, was what she felt the moment her eyes met his.
"who are you?" both of them asked at the same time. her eyebrows twitched. she swore she was having butterflies in her stomach at that time.
he stared her and was caught up by the beauty she has. and the cerulean blue eyes. her long wavy brown hair moved along with the wind.
why is his heart beating so fast?
"why are you here?" he asked curiosity in his eyes. she too wanted to know how she ended up in this kind of dream. the fact that she could interact with him was quite fascinating.
"i was about to ask you that" she said and chuckled. "gosh this is weird already" she muttered mostly to herself but he could somehow hear her.
"i'm haewon if you're wondering. you probably don't know me, but nice to meet you, handsome stranger" she exclaimed quite happily. the man find her quite cute as she gave him a small wave.
"you sure have a pretty face, sir" she said, didn't even realised she was flirting. he blushed and looked away not really used to being praised.
"you- you looked beautiful too" he mumbled sheepishly. she noticed the red ears and laughed."you remind me of jeno" she said and shook her head. the guy quickly turned his attention back to her and frowned. "jeno?"
"yeah, a friend of mine" she shrugged before she stood next to him and placed both her arms on the fence as she stared into nothingness. the man doesn't know why he was feeling weird. there was a hot sensation when she said some guy's name.
he rubbed his temples thinking he's going crazy for no reason.
"so what were you doing here?" she asked. "well, i just happened to be here in this dream"
"mind if i ask?" he fiddled with the hem of his shirt and averted his gaze somewhere else. she lifted her left brow and nodded. a few minutes past and no question left his mouth.
"i guess the question you wanted to ask was quite hard? you seemed hesitant there young man" haewon walked backwards and twirled around before going to the other side of the roof.
"i'll just ask another day"
"which we don't know when we'll meet" she told him a matter of fact. "if you're real, it would be lovely to meet you. you looked like a cool person. that- if you're real" she smiled but whispered the last part to herself.
at that moment, none of them realised, there was a red string of fate tied to their pinky finger.

haewon shot her eyes open and immediately sat up. the dream ended just like that. she was quite frustrated, she didn't even got to know his name. an annoyed sigh left her mouth as she got up from her bed. she did some stretches before washing herself up.
"baek haewon! open the door you have a job" she heard a few knocks coming from the front door of her room as soon as she got out of the bathroom. she rolled her eyes and went to open the door with only her bathrobe.
"what renjun" she asked and glared him dead in the eyes. the short black haired chinese guy instantly looked away. "at least wear a freaking shirt, you seriously have a problem" he said and went inside her room after she gave way.
"oh shut it. you know i usually wake up at this hour. you're the one with a problem here" she crossed both of her arms over her chest and slowly went towards renjun who was at her work desk with her high-tech laptop that the company gave her.
she went inside the clothing room that was half the size of the room she was in. her eyes scanned the clothes thinking what she should wear.
"so what's the target" she asked, into her working mode. her hands grabbing a shirt one from another.
"an underground group leader. they have been killing our man lately. as always, you're assigned to snipe her. the information about the leader and the organisation are already in your laptop" renjun sat down on her chair and spun around waiting for her to come out from the changing room.
she walked of the room in an oversized cream-coloured sweater that's tucked inside the black pants she's wearing. renjun just stared blankly at her as she went towards him.
"move, you're in my seat" she pushed him away giving him a slight glare. as soon as she sat down, her eyes scanned the information that renjun had transferred into her laptop.
"wait.. the leader's a she- a her? a woman?" haewon was quite impressed. she nodded her head in approval. "you sure the boss doesn't want to recruit her?"
renjun made a disbelief look and quickly shook his head. "that group killed most of our men when they're out for a mission. they also interfered a lot of times lately. it feels like they're targeting us" haewon grinned and nodded her head understanding the situation.
renjun explained more about the things that she have to do. haewon listened quietly, her mind started to drift towards the dream she had.
"are you listening, baek haewon?" huang renjun, her subordinate that joined the company earlier than her was someone who's compassionate about his work. she doesn't know why he decided to do these dirty jobs when he have massive talents for art.
haewon snapped back to reality and just simply nod with her hand saluting him. "yes, sir"
"alright, you have to kill her this week. the company's having a joint party in four days, it's better if you could do it before the party" renjun tapped her shoulder and went towards the door of her room.
the company she joined might just looked like a normal business company. however, people don't know the hidden organisation of these company. it's mostly filled with people who kill.
assassins.
