Chapter 14: Plan in action

It was Saturday. I went over to Claire's house and asked her if she wanted to go on a walk with me. "Okay," she shrugged and we walked to the park. I took out my phone when Claire was getting ready. I texted William. "Everything's going fine!" He texted back. "I was just getting Alan. Glad everything's working out. 😘" Then, Claire came out. "I'm ready!" "Ok. Let's go."

We jogged to the park as I spied for William. We got to the fountain and rested. "Tired...." Claire mumbled. William walked to the other side of the fountain with Alan and we nodded, ready to put our plan in action. "Alan!!!" I yelled. "Claire!!!!" William's voice called from the other side. "We have something to say to you both!" Me and William said. "Alan's here?! Ok, I'm going home." Claire turned away and I grabbed her before she walks too far. "What?! I really don't want anything to do with him." Claire shot me a mean look and my hands let go. "Thank you." Claire walked and walked until William grabbed her and pushed her back to where she was. I just stood there, shocked. Claire has never shot me that look. Only to those people that she hates. Does she hate me now?? This question swirled in my head.

"I don't want you guys to help me decide who should I love and who should I hate. It's my life! Not yours! Just LEAVE ME ALONE!" Claire yelled at us. "I can't believe you're doing this, Maggie. I thought you were my friend." She walked away. "Claire!" Alan ran up to Claire. "They weren't deciding for you. I was deciding for you. I really want to get back together. I still loved all the times we've spent. Can we make more memories? I need those." He got on his knees and begged. "Please!" Claire looked at him. And her eyes were saying,"I.... But.... Ok.... No..." She was deciding. Deciding wether to accept him or not. "I need time, Alan. Can you wait?" She asked. "I'd wait forever for you." He smiled, making Claire blush a little bit. "S.... See you." She walked away, and William high-fived me. "I think our plan worked. Now we just wait." I smiled at William. He smiled back. Alan just looked at us, thankfully. "It's you guys that makes Claire want to get back with me. Thank you." "You're welcome. We want Claire to be happy, and you're the perfect one, since you know how to take care of her already." William shook hands with him, and we all went home.
