I think I’ve seen this film before
And I didn’t like the ending
You’re not my homeland anymore
So what I am defending now?
You were my town
Now, I’m exile seeing you out.

           He is my town
           that I never abandon.
           He is may town,
           as well as my home—
           for almost three years.

He is Nathan.

“Babe?

He was surprised and speechless but before he can utter a word I ask another question again.

“Ito pa, paano mo ako mapapaniwala?”

“Huh?” He was definitely clueless right now.

“Ano? Sino bang hudas ang sumapi sa ‘yo? Devil of Toyo? Devil of Arte? Ano?”

He never bothered to answer my question because three months later, I found an answer.

“Ayoko na. Itigil na lang natin.” Umiwas siya ng tingin, “S-Sorry. I...found...” mahina niyang sabi. Bumuntong hininga siya pagkatapos ay lumunok.

He look at me with the same eyes,
without the same feelings anymore.

It’s now a farewell because I was exile—
in his life.

          He is still my town,
          that I never abandon.
He is still my town, until now—
          even for him,
          I'm a just a random almost-stranger
(who’s been there in three years)
          when I passed by,
          and in just three minutes,
          he bid his goodbye.
