"Hyunsik, tell me what's going on." I look up to my brother, seeing his grip on the wheel tighten and his knuckles whiten. "The boy that wrote that letter. He is one of the member of a group of guys that called themselves The Boyz... which was my old friend group.

Back when we lived in daegu, when I first met them they were all very kind and nice but it was all a lie... I found out they were vampires, when I walked in on one of them sucking the life out of a girl. Later that day they showed up at the house when mom, dad, and you were out they apologized, and I accepted.

But I wanted to be like them I thought it could make my life easier, the thought of being able to protect my family with this advantage was the only thing I could think of, But it doesn't, it made things worse. I had to hide from everyone even my own family. They taught me how to resist blood. They told me they would change saying they wouldn't hurt humans anymore, but just go to the hospital to steal blood bags and that what exactly what we did.

One day you came out of the house when they brought me home. They saw you and started asking questions, but it looked like blood lust or just some kind of obsession. They constantly tried to get to you but I refused. Not wanting you to end up like me, but its to late for that now. But back then I did the only thing I could think of. I compelled mom and dad to forget us entirely, compelled you to forget about them. Then We left korea completely and moved to the states.

I know whats going on in their sick heads. They want you so bad they would kill anyone just to have you. They would kill you just so know one else could have you but them. They wont rest until they get you Emma.

You already are linked with one of them now that they bit you, but since your no where near him he cant hear your thoughts or talk to you even. He has to be at least in the same city as you, but he wont be able to start that until you make eye contact with him. Its like opening doors to each other."

I felt like crying. Knowing that all of this was actually true and there was no way of escaping it made me want to crawl into a whole and die. "Why are you just now telling me this? Where is mom and dad now? How did I not even notice?" I had so many questions that my head was starting to ache.

"I wanted to keep you safe. I wanted to hide this from you cause I felt like you wouldn't look at me the same. I wanted you to still depend on me, and not see me as a monster. I learned to control my blood urges. We can still eat human food but we just need blood to fully survive. That's why I never wanted you to go down to the basement, why the fridge down there was locked, because the blood bags were in it." My brother sighs before continuing.

"Mom and dad... they are... after when we left a couple months later mom had died. She was always sick but it got worse after we had left. Then dad... he wasn't able to handle moms death. So he did the only thing he could do to be with her eternally..."

I look over the window then back at my brother. "Where are we going?" I ask. "Back to South Korea, but we are gonna live in seoul for a while. Its crowded so it'll be harder for them to find you. Also, I know some people that can help us." I tilt my head a little. "Who?"  My brother glances at me then back at the road.

"Enhypen."
