clary pov

im the first one up and racing towards the source of the scream. I can hear the others behind me but im already way ahead.

when I reach the source of the scream It only takes me seconds to take in whats in front of me.

Sebastian is leaning over ricky twisting a knife in his hands as she tries to back away without much success.

there is then a loud crash as I send him flying across the room into a table with a vase on it. I hear the others running into the room and gasp as they see what has happened

jace pov

clary disappears in front of us as we all run to the source of the scream. damn she has gotten fast.

there is a loud crash and we run into the one of the institutes many hallways.

it takes me a few second to realise what is going on. clary is standing in front of the little girl, ricky I think her name is, and she looks like a fucking avenging angel.

I then look over to where the crash came from and notice the table and something that looks like it must have been valuable is all smashed.

I still don't understand whats going on until he pulls himself up from the ground.

Sebastian.

clary is standing protectively in front of ricky who has tears streaming down her face.

she murmurs something to ricky who nods furiously. suddenly ricky is dashing towards us and jasmine scoops her up in her arms holding her close.

''well hello to you too little sister'' Sebastian smirks

''if you ever touch her again I will make sure your death is slow and painful'' I have never seen clary like this before and if I am honest it is kind of scary.

I step towards clary wanting to protect her but she just takes a step away. this seems to amuse Sebastian even more

''hey little brother''

''what do you want sebastian'' I hiss

''what do you think...clary of course''

then mikey speaks for the first time ''well you're not getting her''

''I must say I do prefer you much more than angel boy but that might just make it slightly harder to kill you'' there is a glint in his eye and clary seemed to cotton on to what was about to happen before anyone else as she screamed out mikeys name.

but before anyone could do anything Sebastian was charging towards mikey bringing his sword down fast.

everything then turns into a blur. there are people screaming and calling out his name but he will never be able to move in time and everyone knows it.

and then clary is standing in front of him...

and she takes the blow and falls to her knees...

now everyone is crying out her name. her mum, luke, blake, jasmine, mikey simon, izz, even alec and magnus. but I cant seem breath. I can barely stand my legs feel so weak.

clary has just taken the hit that was supposed to kill mikey and Sebastian looks surprised at first but it is soon replaced with fury.

before anyone can get to her she is standing up again.

holy crap thank god. I thought she was going to fall down dead.

there is a massive slice over her chest that was now seething with blood but in her hands are two seraph blades and she pounces on Sebastian.

no one seems to be able to move as we all watch them fight each other. even I have never been able to fight Sebastian the way she is fighting him now. she gets in some really good hits but he is still better with his demon blood

he stabs her through the shoulder with some sort of demon blade and she lets out a scream as he twists it inside her. then he lifts her so her feet are off the ground and he throws her across the room into the wall.

her body sags to the ground and she tries to pull herself up but this time she insnt strong enough.

mikey is the first to charge at sebastian along with jazz, who had given ricky to sam to protect, and blake followed by the rest of us.

even with all ten of us we dont last as long as clary. he takes us all out and wakes over to clary. I try to get up but I cant manage it.

he grabs clary and pulls her up. she is barely conscious. her yes flicker over to everyone on the round and a panicked look crosses her face ''don't worry little sis no ones dead yet'' Sebastian smirks.

he pulled clary to him with one hand and holds her against his chest with the dagger still in her shoulder. with his free hand he takes her steel out her pocket and throws it on the ground. she lets out a small whimper as mikey tries to get up and help her but even he was too injured.

sebastian started twisting the ring on his finger and mikey yells clarys name but all she can do is send him a small, sad smile and they disappeared.

''CLARYYY'' mikey yells out one last time...
