"how would you feel about being a trophy wife?" daiki asked. "as good as being a trophy wife sounds, i worked hard to get my degree. it would be a shame to let it go to waste" you said closing the dishwasher. "then take an early retirement" he said wrapping his arms around your waist and giving you a kiss.

"speaking of, you free tomorrow?" he asked, "yeah, why?" you replied. "two tickets tomorrow, court side" he mumbled tiredly, "we'll be there" you whispered. "let's get you to bed" you chuckled pushing him towards the stairs, "rough practice?" he hummed in response.

"what do you think about getting aikko a trust fund?" he asked, "we'll talk about this tomorrow morning. go to sleep" you whispered pulling the blanket over him.

"you not sleeping?" he asked closing his eyes, "i'll be there soon" you replied kissing his forehead.

"i love you"

you went into the washroom and sighed, a trust fund? what even is a trust fund?

the next morning

"look mommy's awake" daiki said to aikko, who then looked at you. "hi baby" you said hugging her back, "good morning mommy! did you have a good sleep?" she asked. "i did, did you?" you asked making yourself some coffee.

"i had a veryyyy good sleep!"

"that's good" you smiled. "no good morning hug for me?" daiki asked, "good morning to you" you said giving him a hug and a kiss.

"go eat in the living room, honey. the remote is on the table" i said handing her the plate. "so, trust fund" i said sitting at the table, "it wouldn't kick in until she's 25. but it's a large amount of money, but it's money that i have. i've had a bank account set for her education since she was born, and a separate for spending and i know i should've talked to you about it first, but it just seemed right-"

"i get it" you said placing a hand on his. "calm down, let's set it up. "we'll send aikko to my parents for the day and we can go to the bank"
