I know now

Noon had struck and I went together with Newt to the Great Hall. Everyone there was surprised too that I came back, except that black-haired man, of course, he seemed to completely hate it.

Newt: But they just ... crowned you?

Acacia: I found it weird too but it was Calarel, the queen of the Elf Kingdom, who purposed to do it immediately. I thought there needs to be a whole ceremony, but apparently, there doesn't need to be one, I guess.

Newt: But then you couldn't decide if you want to be it or not.

Acacia: It was the whole point of my life, I can't just give it up out of nowhere. Like: 'Oh, I came here but I am too lazy for it, chose someone else.' I am not that kind of person.

We settled down by Lizzie at the yellow table, she was extremely happy to see me back.

Lizzie: Does this now mean that we won't see you anymore?

Acacia: I will visit as often as I can but I still need to be there for my people. Later on, when the war gets forgiven and when I feel more comfortable around here, I will come even more. I promise.

Newt: And the other kingdoms then, will they agree with it.

Acacia: We all want it to be like before the war, but we wouldn't hesitate to attack again when everything gets blamed on us again. The war has made us change too, the dwarfs take care of the armies and weapons, the elves have our markets in their hands and the ornisses of the animals and agriculture.

Lizzie: But you haven't been there in ... a long time.

Acacia: The war has made me change too.

Newt: If there happens something and a new war needs to start again, how will it go them.

Acacia: We have made some precautions of people we aren't allowed to attack or even hurt, on command of me. We would do everything to win that war then and we would show no mercy, keep that in mind to tell others. We have everything written out.

Newt: Waaw, that far already?

Acacia: Well yes, everyone on our side wants to reunite. But then you see how most of the Wizard Kingdom still thinks about us and then you conclude, it might happen again.

Lizzie: Wait, everyone?

Acacia: A lot of your magic faded away in our kingdoms when the war started, which had caused a lot of damage to some buildings and even lives. Yes, we became independent of it but it still has a place in our hearts, that piece is missing.

Newt: We always speak of we but-

Acacia: In the name of everyone. Not only me.

A light bell rang and students started to walk through the halls again. I went again with Newt to his classroom to help along and teach about the things in the books I had brought with me. It was those green older ones, with that boy from before.

Acacia: It is you again, isn't it?

Newt: You know him?

Acacia: As the idiot boy he is. He had a lesson from a Gilderoy. He tried to make me shake his hand while I was still in that cage.

Arcas: And I am still waiting for it, love.

Somehow, I saw Newt his facial expression change a bit. Is it because the boy called me 'love'? For as long I know him, he had never been so ... jealous of someone speaking to me.

Acacia: Ooh, you do not want to speak to me like that.

I stood up from my place and started to walk closer to him.

Acacia: Something tells me that you aren't who you tell you are or even act like. But I must say, part of it isn't lied. Selfish, not thinking before saying something and yeah, reaching higher than you can get.

I took him by his neck and pushed him against a wall.

Acacia: I will decide who calls me his, you can't just claim me. Understood?

He quickly nodded under his breath and I let him fall to the ground. Students started to quietly laugh but it increased quickly. I smirked down at the boy when he looked up before walking back to my place next to Newt.

Newt: Everyone, quiet down please and let's start the lesson

He looked from his eyes corner at me and let a little smile appear, which made one appear to me too. When the class had quieted down, we started to flip through the books again. Most of them enjoyed learning about animals from another point of view, others were just not interested. I can understand that everyone got other interests.

Then we got red middle-aged ones and as of last blue middle-aged ones. A busy day if you would ask me. Newt and I stayed a bit longer in the classroom to rearrange things that students had gotten in their hands that we didn't notice.

Acacia: Is there a reason why you acted so strange when the green boy called me 'love'?

Newt: You can't just call someone a lot older than you 'love' for no reason.

Acacia: That wasn't what I meant. Literally right after he spoke the word, I saw a side of you I have never seen before, for the time I know you. And age doesn't decide who may love you.

He didn't seem to react to it and stayed quiet.

Acacia: Are you now silencing me? I can leave if you want.

Newt: No, stay, I didn't mean to silence you.

Acacia: See, there you got it again. Is it because I am different, inside and outside? Because of my royalty and breakthrough? The war? The black-haired man who tortured me for years? The fact that I can't come every day anymore? That I can't control myself when I am angry? Did you change your view of me?

Newt: Of course not.

Acacia: Then what is it?! Something is on your mind and I want to know what it is! If you don't tell me now, I will leave immediately!

I stood right behind him as he turned around and kissed me on the lips. That was what was on his mind, love.

Newt: Do you understand it now?

Acacia: My half-mother predicted this yesterday for me, surely by the way how you care for me. But yes, I understand it now, I just wanted to make you say it.

Newt: Do you mean that you think the same.

Acacia: I must say, I never knew someone as special as you, surely not someone who care for me, besides my own family of course. Stuck here for a long time, you gave me hope again to try to get to my kingdom again.

Newt: I would have released you earlier if you told me this earlier. But then others would go against me and then you probably wouldn't be where you are now.

As we put the last things back in their place, we walked to the others in the central hall.
