Sorry to say guys, I might be ending this story soon. I just feel like you guys don't really enjoy it (sorry to those who do) and if I don't end it now I probably won't end it in a long time. I'm considering a sequel, only that the sequel will be a Phantom/ Les Mis crossover. What do you guys think? But thank you lots for commenting and voting and thanks for 6k reads and 200 votes!
Christine
"Why do we always have creepy people watching us?" I turn to Erik, the gears clicking in my head trying to figure out who could have sent that rose and message. It's a burden on top of the stress of just moving into a new home and Gustave having his major exams in a few weeks.
"Because we are both famous? And you are beautiful?" I roll my eyes, but cannot suppress a minuscule grin.
"But I'm serious Erik, this could really affect the children. Gustave's finishing school in a few years, Melody's barely ten; what if this person's dangerous?" I rant, my heart constricted with worry.
"Christine," Erik pulls me into his lap and kisses my cheek. "It's alright."
"No it's not! What will this person do if you don't show up tonight?"
"Well then, to save the risk, I'll show up."
"No! No you can't! What if they hurt you?"
"They can't hurt me-"
"Erik now's not the time to be overconfident! They could actually hurt you, look-" His mouth cuts me off. It sends a sweet energy through me and blurs all my anxiety. I give in - my arms go around him and I indulge in the warm sensation of his careful and deft hands on my face and by back. "Hey, that's my move." I say, smiling.
"It really works, huh?" I sigh, frustrated. "You know what?" He places his hands on my shoulders. "I know what will make you feel better - a song."
Before I can protest, he wraps his arms around me and his voice is softly soothing my heart.
Night time sharpens, heightens each sensation
Darkness stirs and wakes imagination
Silently the senses abandon their defenses
Slowly, gently night unfurls it's splendour
Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender
Turn your face away from the garish light of day
Turn your thoughts away from cold unfeeling light
And listen to the music of the night
Close your eyes and surrender to your darkest dreams
Purge your thoughts of the life you knew before
Close your eyes, let your spirit start to soar
And you'll live as you've never lived before
Softly, deftly, music shall caress you
hear it, feel it, secretly possess you,
Open up your mind, let your fantasies unwind
In this darkness that you know you cannot fight
The darkness of the music of the night
Let your mind start a journey to a strange new world
Leave all thoughts of the life you knew before
Let your soul take you where you long to be
Only then can you belong to me
Floating, falling, sweet intoxication
