Chapter 14

Sheesh, two months without uupdating, God I'm sorry. But I finally had some more time to watch anime again, specially rewatching Aot, so expect another chapter within the next week. Enjoy!

The next day, Y/n is seen putting his shirt on in his room. The sun had risen, as the light shines through his window. Small reflections of light shone from his necklace before he grabbed his jacket and put it on. Looking at his room, he double checked if everything was clean. Even if Levi isn't in charge of him, that won't stop Levi from beating his ass. Plus, not only that, but in just two days, the new scouts should arrive... which means Armin and Mikasa will finally be back. Something for Eren and him to look forward too.

Speaking of Eren, he and Hange should be starting their experiments in a hour... perhaps he should visit?

He scans his room to make sure everything is clean, before exiting the room. Once he entered the hall he saw a familiar face from the Levi Squad. Petra notices him as well before raising a hand.

Petra: Ah, Y/n right? How was the test yesterday?

Y/n: Uh... they shot me with rifles and cannons... and I was surprised it did nothing to my scales, but could fuck up my wings. The blades could scratch my scales, and some cases break. So, that's something.

Petra: Damn that's intense.

Y/n: Yeah, it was just to test if dragons were impenetrable. To be fair, it looks that way, but I'm sure something will break through those scales some day.

Y/n notices her holding a broom, and the leaves and dust all over the hall.

Y/n: You're cleaning by yourself? Don't you guys normally pair up for certain floors?

Petra: Yeaaah, but Eren's busy with Hange, so here I am.

She continues to sweep as Y/n looks around for any other brooms. He sees one at the end of the hall, and goes over to grab it. He walked back to Petra, and began to sweep the dust. She looks at him surprised, earning a look from Y/n.

Y/n: It's best we avoid Levi being angry over some dust. You wouldn't want to get your ass handed to you right?

Petra giggles as she gave him a thumbs up

Petra: You got that right. Let's finish this!

The two clean the hall efficiently and effectively. The dust and leaves are put into sacks, before being tied up. As the two finished up the halls, suddenly someone ran into the hall.

Y/n: Come on man we just cleaned this!

Scout: T-The Titans! Hange's titans are dead!

Petra: What?!

Y/n: She had titans? What?

Petra grabs Y/n as the follow the scout.

As they ran they went past a crowd of scouts, whispering and muttering what could've happened. They push through to see two steaming bodies of Titans on the ground, as Hange cries and screams in disparity. Y/n notices Eren with his hood up beside him, Eren was in complete shock as well.

Y/n: *whispers* I need to ask you about those things later.

Eren doesn't say anything but nod. The two suddenly felt someone place a hand on their shoulders. Y/n and Eren look through the corner of their eyes to see Erwin.

Erwin: What do you see here? What do you think the enemy is?

Eren: Huh?

Y/n remained silent, as the question began to take root in his mind... who could've killed these titans? It had to be someone within the scouts right? They were the only ones who could even be near them? But the better question is why? Why would they kill something so important for the research committee? Revenge? Sabotage?
