Mikasa: What happened to him?

This was it, one of the biggest things the Y/n squad was not looking forward to. Armin had just confessed to Mikasa that Eren is long dead, now here she is, looking at the three with an empty, but burning, look in her eyes. Connie felt like pissing himself right then and there, Ymir couldn't make eye contact with her, while Krista was shaking in fear and shame.

A whole crowd surrounded them, many cadets including Reiner and his squad standing back watching what's unfolding.

Krista gulped down some of her fear, and began to speak.

Krista: Y...Y/n got injured in battle. A titan grabbed him and squeezed him, as he most likely had internal damage such as broken ribs. So when we questioned him saying he should slow down and we should take him to get medical help... an abnormal titan jump towards me. That's when he... he pushed me out of the way, and t...the titan ate him! It just swallowed him whole!

Everyone except for Armin was shocked to hear this. The number two cadet is dead, if he died, how could they possibly survive. Everyone tried to come to terms with this, Annie is seen squeezing her blade handle extremely hard, as she tried her best to not show any emotions... Mikasa on the other hand...

Mikasa: He broke his promise ... He put his life down... for you?

She wipes a tear off her face with her sleeve, as Krista slowly nods.

Mikasa: Well, he thought you were worth protecting. So don't even think about dying... If we take out the Titans around the HQ, we can replenish our gas supplies and climb the wall. Does that sound correct?

Connie: Yeah... But even if you're with us, there are just too many.

Mikasa: We can do it.

Everyone looks at her confused as Mikasa draws her blades and stands in front of the other soldiers with one blade pointed to the sky.

Mikasa: I am strong. Stronger than all of you. Extremely strong. I can kill all those Titans there. Even if I'm alone. You're either incompetent, or you're spineless cowards. How pathetic. You can sit here and suck on your fingers. Yeah, do that.

???1: Hey Mikasa! What are you saying?

???2: You wanna fight all of those titans by yourself?

???3: There's no way you could do that!

Mikasa: If I can't, then I'll just die. But if I win, I live. Unless I fight, I cannot win.

Connie: Hey!

Mikasa then jumps off the roof and flies off.

Jean suddenly draws his blades and raises one to the sky.

Jean: Hey! Were we trained to let our comrades fight alone?! At this rate, we're going to turn out to be spineless cowards!

Jean moves to follow Mikasa. Connie follows after.

The rest of the soldiers move to follow Mikasa. As Mikasa flies through the streets, she takes down Titans. Armin then notices something... she's using too much gas. Almost as soon as he notices she falls onto a roof of a building and drops her blades.

Armin: Mikasa!!

Armin flies off in Mikasa's direction, away from the group.

Jean: Damn it!

Connie: Jean! You lead the others! I'll go with armin!

Jean: I'm coming with you!

Connie: What are you talking about? There are more Titans left, they need your skills!
