Y/n looks up at the skeletons around them.

Y/n: Well, we sorta transformed around you guys. So our bodies took the hit.

Armin: So that's what happened...

Mikasa grabs his shoulder.

Mikasa: They protected us.That's all we need to know for now.

Armin nods and looks at the ground, with flowed still intact, preserved from the explosion.

Armin: Inside here, even flowers were spared?

Eren looks at the smoke.

Eren: They're still just watching, waiting to see what happens next. The Garrison can't see our movements right now. But eventually, they will attack again. After showing them that, I doubt we can talk our way out of this one. I did remember one thing, though.

The basement. The basement of my old house. My father said I would understand everything if I went there. He's also the reason I'm like this. If I get to that basement, I'll probably find out the truth about Titans, too. Dammit!

Eren punches the Titan's bone so hard that it fractures.

Eren: Why did he keep it a secret? It's the intel the Recon Corps has been searching for at the cost of thousands of lives! This is mankind's last hope! He was just keeping it locked away in the basement? What the hell was he thinking?! Where has he been these past five years, after he abandons us --

Y/n: Wait. Your dad made you like this? How?

Eren: Uh, I think he gave me some sort of needle? That's all I remember.

Y/n's head suddenly began to hurt, but before he could remember a distant memory, he's interrupted.

Mikasa: Guys. We've got more pressing concerns right now.

Armin: Yeah.

The four move as the smoke began to disappear.

Soldier: The smoke is lifting! We'll attack once we can see them!

Soldier 2: Let's get this over with!

Kitz: Don't move yet!

The skeletons crumble onto each other as the reptilian Skull falls first and shatters, spreading the smoke farther. Some of the soldiers shout in surprise as Eren looks at his friends.

Eren: I need to go.

Armin/Mikasa/Y/n: What?

Armin: Where?

Eren:For now, anywhere will do. Then I have to get over the wall and find my old basement. Before that, I'll need to become a Titan again.

Y/n: Eren, you don't even know how to control it, you just started using it. Plus, it seems we have a tike limit, going outside the walls alone. Would be a death sentence. Plus, you hardly look capable right now.

Eren: What do you mean?!

Y/n points at his nose, Eren feels blood goes down his nose.

Armin: Y/n's right, you're vary pale. It's clear this this taking alot out of you.

Eren: don't care if I'm in bad shape right now.

I've got two ideas. If you two don't try to cover for me, they won't kill you. I've caused you enough trouble already. From here on out, I'm doing this alone.

Y/n wacks him on the head.

Y/n: Idoit. You can't make it alone... I'll go with you. We could fly over the wall for a bit. I can't fly too long, as they're the first to turn into steam. but we could run for a bit.
