Andrews (pov)
The next day we welcome Alexia to our home and help her settle in. She is very excited about the babies. She is curious to find out if one or all of them is fathered by all of my mates. She also is setting up a plan to keep us safe. I am glad so far for all the support.
Besides from the nausea and being overly emotional. I crave my mates. I always want to be near them. Which is difficult since we all have responsibilities.
We have been continuing our routine of all having breakfast and dinner together. Tobalt and Theo have been taking turns spending lunch time with me to.
Tristan sleeps during the day. I am fine as long as one of them are around. It is also nice that I have Arabella and Alexia with me while I am at the clinic.
We decided that since Theo's clan is closest to where we are residing. We will visit his family first. The plan is to leave Thursday after dinner and return Sunday before dinner.
Today being Tuesday is slow. There is not a whole lot going on. Which is good for a clinic. We do not want a bunch of injured that would mean war or a rogue invasion. All of which are bad.
Currently Arabella and Alexia are helping me take inventory on supplies that need to be ordered. All of a sudden I feel light headed and lean against the wall. Alexia looks concerned and Arabella runs to grab the doctor. I am telling them I am fine. I probably just need food or something.
Alexia says I am not taking any risks your mates will freak. Dr. Rose walks in and tells me to have a seat. I go to argue and all three women give me a look that says humor me.
So I do. She proceeds to take my pulse and blood pressure. She also asked about other symptoms.
I told her I have been very thirsty and hungry. No matter what I do I am still famished and wanting more. She hums to herself while she is thinking. She then listens to the babies with her stethoscope and says they sound healthy. I finally ask if she thinks anything is wrong?
Dr. Rose says I have a theory. What species are your mates? I tell her Tobalt is a wolf dragon hybrid. Theo is full blooded bear shifter. Tristan is full blooded prince of the vampires. Her eyes widen and she proceeds to explain.
I believe since you are carrying a vampire baby. you will need to drink blood to appease them. I look skeptical but tell her I will ask Tristan about it. As I finish asking my questions all three of my mates come in looking highly concerned.
I look around for the guilty party who snitched. Alexia looks at me. She says they needed to know. I just roll my eyes and get enveloped in a massive group hug by my three T's.
Tristan goes on to tell the doctor he has heard of vampire babies needing blood. If not they will drain what is needed from their carrier. Thus me being dizzy and thirsty. He also goes on to explain that only my mates blood will quench my thirst.
They agreed to take turns giving me their blood when needed. They also told Dr. Rose they were taking me home for the day to feed on them and rest. Since they were all here.
The doctor asked if I would like an ultrasound. This way they can see the babies. They were so excited since they were not there for the first one. I am now about six weeks along.
The doctor lifts my shirt and squirts the cold blue gel on my belly. She starts to rub the wand over my tiny almost nonexistent baby bump. You can hear the dub lub sounds of my babies heart beats. My mates eyes light up at the sound.
Then the doctor starts showing them the babies. She pauses and says I did not notice that the first time. My mates look nervous and I get worried.
What is wrong Dr. Rose I ask shakily almost crying. Theo and Tristan each grab one of my hands. Dr. Rose says nothing of concern but congratulations your having 4 pups not 3. See this little one here it was hiding behind its siblings.
I look over and see 4 little beans on the screen. My mates hug me and we ask for print outs. You have about 18 weeks left and we should be able to see what your having in about 6 more weeks if you would like. Actually I want them to be a surprise.
No problem the doctor says. I would like to see you again in about 4 weeks. Sounds good can we go home now. I am tired and hungry. No problem and since this will be your first feeding on blood you may need some every few hours for the first day.
I recommend you taking tomorrow off. I go to protest and Alexia volunteers to cover for me. I sigh as I wipe the gel off my belly. Ok, let's go home.
