Chapter 28

The enemy
Tristan (pov)

   Jacob and I are traveling to where Catherine thinks Andrew is. It is a nature reserve in Nevada about 6 hours from their pack. No wonder we did not find him.

  Alexia and Dr. Rose are supposed to meet us there. We do not know exactly where he is at or what we are up against.  When they did the locating spell.

  It gave them an area of interest. As we neared the black rock desert nature reserve.  I got an eerie feeling. 

  It is all desert and tumbleweeds surrounded by mountains full of caves.  There are so many places that he can be. We can be walking into an ambush.  The sun is rising as we enter a trail through the canyon. 

  We want to get as far as we can undetected. However we must have alerted them of our arrival. The ground starts shaking and dark shadowy figures come towards us. We now know we must be in the right place. It is huge and like a maze.

  I have no idea where to start searching. I try to reach out to Andrew. Our group is defending theirselves the best they can.

  Jacob tells me to find Andrew. That his warriors will handle those attacking. As I enter a cave system I hear a bunch of cammotion.

  I think they are going to try to escape with him.  I see a path that looks like there are a bunch of doors built into the rock. I start down the dark hall. I feel prodding in my mind then get lightheaded. I am teleported right in front of Andrew struggling with his captor.

  I take a second to get my bearings straight. I then go right into battle mode freeing Andrew. I attack the cloaked figure in front of us.

  All of a sudden they just vanish. I look towards Andrew. He looks around then just collapsed due to using too much energy.

  I have him in my arms as I hold him tight. I see his huge belly with are pups and I smile. We got to him in time.

  I sit on the bed with him in my lap. I lean my head to the side and tell him to feed. I know him and my pups are weak.

  I then call Jacob that I am with Andrew.  He somehow teleported me to him. The door is locked from the outside so he will have to find us. Atleast now Andrew is not alone and I will defend him with my last breath if needed.  

  About 20 minutes later the door is bust down.  Jacob is at the door with Dr. Rose.  She gives him a quick check up to make sure the pups and him are doing well.  We then leave to take the long trip back to Andrews parents pack. 

Andrews (pov)

  Tristan is here along with my dad, Alexia and Dr. Rose. I guess all the shadowy evil doers disappeared at the same time as the cloaked figure that was in my room. They just vanished without a trace.

  That leaves me with mixed feelings. I am happy to be safe and on my way back to my parents pack. I am also nervous because they are still out there. My children and I are still in danger. 

  My parents want me to stay till I have the babies. I want to go back to my uncles pack. where my mates families can give us more support. The original plan was for my mom to come there for my pups birth anyways.

  I want to continue with the original plan.  When we get back to my parents pack. We will stay 3-4 days for me to rest and recover before we head back.  I am so thankful for those who searched for and rescued me.

  I kept myself glued to Tristan's side as we ventured back. As we entered my home pack territory. It I see my other mates waiting for us at the border. I get so excited I missed them so much. 

  They envelope us in a massive hug as soon as we reach them.  Tobalt and Theo are to cute with there little baby bumps.  I am so big I have a waddle going.

Personally I prefer to be carried at this point. Everyone separates to go clean up. I for one can not wait for a nice bath and to cuddle with all my mates.
