(Jeongin's POV)

I have been trying to come up with a plan for ages now, and I finally came up with something I like. I think (s)he'll like it too, I hope so at least.

I woke up before y/n, so I decided to wake them up. I shook them lightly, talking quiet but not whispering, "jaaagiiii, wake uuup". (S)he stirred and let out a small groan, bringing their hands up to rub at their eyes. "Come on jagi~" I moved to lay on top of them, "innieee get oooff" (s)he whined, their eyes still closed. "I'll get off once you get up" I said, trying to convince them to get up. "Fiiine" (s)he groaned and opened their eyes, looking at me sulkily. I laughed and pecked their lips getting off of them. "Come on jagi, go get washed up while I make breakfast" I said as (s)he sat up and yawned, "mmm okayyy" (s)he said, swinging  her legs over the side of our bed.

I went back downstairs, and started making breakfast. I could here the sound of y/ns footsteps going down the hall to the bathroom, and then a minute later the sound of the shower. I decided to make something relatively small, we're probably gonna be eating a lot today... I made rolled omelets and kimchi toast, setting up the table right as y/n came down. I smiled at them "you're just in time" I said, sitting down and gesturing for them to do the same. "It looks good!" (S)he said, sitting across from me. We both started eating, chatting a bit while we did so.

"So jagi, what do you think about going out today?" I tried to say as casually as I could, (s)he looked at me and thought about it. "Like a date? Sure, did you have somewhere in mind?" (S)he asked with a smile, I smiled back and nodded "yeah! I was thinking maybe.. the amusement park?" I replied, I tried to make it sound like I had just thought about it. (S)he lit up at that, good (s)he likes that idea. "Ooh! Yeah that sounds fun!" (S)he said excitedly.

When we got to the amusement park, both of us were practically bouncing up and down. After we parked the car, I grabbed their hand, practically running to the entrance. We waited in line, impatiently I'll add, until it was our turn to get tickets. I got both of us those unlimited ride wristbands, so we didn't have to carry around a bunch of tickets. Once we got inside the park, I asked them what ride (s)he wanted to go to first. Once (s)he picked a ride we went straight to it and got in line. We kept switching between them choosing a ride and then me choosing one, until we had ridden every ride in the park. Then we rode our favorite ones again, of course we took breaks occasionally. We spent the whole day bouncing around the park, we got cotton candy, ice cream, caramel popcorn, and of course real food too. We even won each other a few prizes from the game stands.

Eventually the sun went down, and I could set my plan into action. Earlier in the day, y/n wanted to go on the Ferris wheel, but I convinced them to wait until night time because it would 'be funner that way'. So we got in line for the last ride of the day, the Ferris wheel. For pretty much the first time today I separated from y/n, telling them I had to go to the bathroom and that I'd be back before it was out turn. But actually I went over to the ride worker...

Once it was finally our turn on the ride, we got on sitting next to each other. As the ride slowly ascended, I intertwined my hand with y/ns. Here goes nothing... "y/n?" I said, starting to get a little nervous. (S)he turned to me and hummed in response, wordlessly telling me to continue. I took a deep breath "you know... there was a reason for all of this..." I started cautiously, and (s)he looked at me curiously "I have a... really important question I wanted to ask you.." I didn't mean to stall so much but I was getting nervous, y/n noticed and edged me on "yeah?" (S)he said trying to get me to continue. I cleared my throat, gathering the confidence I had to finish my sentence. "We've been together for a while now... you make me happy, like really happy. I love spending time with you, and I feel really lucky to have you..." the ride stopped, with us right at the top, perfect timing. "You mean so much to me, so much that the words "I love you" don't even begin to describe how I feel about you." I faced them completely, holding both of their hands, "I want to be with you always, so... I wanted to ask.." I reached my hand towards my pocket and pulled out a small black box, y/n gasped quietly at the sight of it.
"Y/n... will you be mine forever, and marry me?"
I opened the box, revealing an engagement ring. I smiled at them shyly, watching their expression change from shock, to embarrassment, to happy, to tearing up. (S)he looked down at their lap and took a deep breath, and when (s)he looked back up at me (s)he was fully crying. (S)he jolted forward and hugged me, "y-yes, YES" I hugged them back, burying my face in the crook of their neck, trying not to tear up myself. I tilted their head up and kissed them, right as the ride started moving again. Oh that's right, I almost forgot we were still on the Ferris wheel. The kiss lasted for a while, it was passionate, romantic, tearful, to an outsider probably sappy, but we didn't care we were happy, that's all that matters.

Besides, right now it's just us, me and them, for the rest of our lives.

Aaaand done! This one was wayyy longer than the last one. It's soooo cute! I really like this one! I made the pronouns kind of gender-fluid? Switching between their/them and she/he. I was gonna make the pronouns just they/them, but not everyone goes by they/them pronouns, so I figured this was the best way to be inclusive. Anyways I hope you enjoyed this my lovelies!
