Third person POV:

It was an early Saturday morning. The weather was nice, warm but not too hot. It was calm and quiet, due to it being so early and most people having the day off, Jeongin happens to be one of them. With Jeongin's schedule, it's often hard to predict when he'll have a day off, but when he gets one he makes sure to enjoy it.

Today he had woken up very early, much earlier than he had intended, but he had no luck when he tried to go back to sleep. So, he decided to just go with it. He had gotten up and ready for the day, and decided he'd go to a cafe for some coffee. With that idea in mind he grabbed his phone and wallet, walking to a cafe that was relatively close to where he was staying.

Once he had arrived at the small cafe, he entered and glanced around. It was rather empty with it being so early, the only people there being someone sitting at a table towards the back with a book, and an old couple having what seemed to be coffee. The small cafe had a peaceful atmosphere, and Jeongin decided coming here was a good idea. Jeongin walked over to the counter where a young woman with black hair, green eyes, a simple black apron, and a name tag that said "Lucy" was sitting nearby. When she saw Jeongin approach, she stood up from her seat and went up to the counter, asking him what he wanted to order. He took a glance at the relatively small menu, and ordered a cup of coffee and a small pastry. The woman, Lucy, got him what he asked for and when she handed it to him he gave her a small smile and walked over to one of the tables, setting down his things before sitting down himself.

A few minutes later, Jeongin had been on his phone while slowly sipping his coffee. Jeongin heard the small bell on the door chime, signaling someone else had came in. Jeongin didn't pay much mind to it, but heard Lucy greet the person who walked in, she seemed to know them. He then heard another voice responding to Lucy with a kind "hello," their voice was melodic, in a way. He heard the two talk a little more, the new person ordering a cup of tea. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the person walk past him, prompting him to look up from his phone and look at them by reflex. The person was facing the opposite direction, so all's he saw was the back of their head and their (h/l) (h/c) hair. They went over to one of the single tables by the window, setting their teacup down and sitting. Jeongin watched as they brought out a book from the bag they had with them, as well as a pencil and an eraser. 'They must be an artist' Jeongin thought as the person began sketching something, Jeongin watched them for a couple seconds more before finally turning his attention back to his coffee and pastry.

Jeongin had made it a habit to go to that little cafe whenever he had a morning to himself, he found it therapeutic in a way, just somewhere peaceful to spend a little time at to just relax for an hour or two. Every time he went to that cafe though, he saw that person. They always came at around the same time, ordered the same thing, and did the same activity. He was sure now that the woman that worked there and the person that came by all the time were friends, with they way they talked he guessed they had known each other for a while. Not that he was listening in on them, it's just easy to hear a conversation when it's so quiet. He had learned that the persons name was (y/n), as that was the name Lucy called them when she greeted them, it was a nice name Jeongin had thought.

Jeongin had always wondered what (y/n) was drawing, was it this one complex picture? A different simple sketch every time? He wasn't sure, but never attempted to ask them. Actually, Jeongin hasn't attempted to talk to them at all. It's not that he didn't want to, he actually really did, he just decided to let them enjoy their peace and quiet. He looks over at them a lot though, he always tries not to stare but without noticing he somehow ends up doing exactly that every time. They never seemed to notice him looking, which he was glad about, always just focusing on their notebook and whatever it was they were drawing.

It had been quite a while since Jeongin has become a regular at the small cafe, and since his recurring interest in the mysterious artist. About 4 months, give or take. He had gotten more curious about this (y/n) character over the months, and without him noticing, had become a genuine interest. When they sat peacefully near the window, the sun softly lighting up their features, the calm yet focused expression on their face as they sketched, admittedly they looked quite attractive to Jeongin. They would always wear rather plain clothing, but it always seemed to looked good on them. Jeongin wasn't sure why he had taken such an interest in this artist, all's he knew was that he had begun to look forward to seeing them in the mornings. When he wasn't able to go to the cafe he would wonder what they were doing, and if they for some reason couldn't make it, he would immediately notice and wonder why. Jeongin couldn't quite decipher the reason behind all this.

Today was one of the days he was able to visit the small cafe, he entered as he usually did, ordered a coffee and sat at the table he usually sat at. He looked around and noticed that they were already at their preferred table, he was confused for a second before he realized he had came later than usual. His gaze lingered for a bit longer than intended, before he shook his head and reminded himself not to stare.

After a while, Jeongin noticed them closing up their sketchbook and packing it in their bag. 'Are they leaving?' Jeongin though, he had usually always left before them but since he got here late, they were leaving before him. He watched as they stood up and left some money on their table, then they put their bag on their shoulder. However their pencil had fallen out of their bag and rolled away, coincidentally enough it rolled right next to Jeongins chair. He looked at the pencil and then picked it up, standing and looked over at them who was already looking at him. He stared for a second, this is the first time he was able to look them in the eyes, their eyes were a pretty color. They tilted their head at him slightly and Jeongin brought himself back to reality, he gave them a smile and handed them their pencil, which they took with a quiet "thank you". Jeongin watched as they properly put their pencil back in their bag so it wouldn't fall out again, and then they  looked at him again. They smiled at him, it was a soft and friendly smile that almost made him flustered. They bowed their head slightly and said goodbye, hoisting their bag onto their shoulder once again and leaving the cafe. Jeongin sat back down at his table, that was the first interaction the two had, it might've been brief but Jeongin couldn't help but feel happy about it for some reason.

'They're even more attractive up close.."

Should I do a part 2?

Also, sorry I've been gone for a while. I haven't felt like writing at all, and I've had a surprisingly busy couple months. I've been neglecting both my tiktok and my wattpad and I'm sorry 😖 I have a couple chapter that I'm in the midst of writing though, so there's that. Hopefully I can post on my tiktok too.

Until next time lovelies~
