CHAPTER 1 – Jab we met!
Scene starts at Dhruv's house .The shining ray of sun filled the room with a hope of new beginning .It was Dhruv's first day at office .He was taking over his dad's position as the new CEO of Khanna Publishers .
The alarm rang at sharp 8 am .Dhruv woke up at once as if he was waiting for the alarm to ring .He went straight to the washroom and stood under the shower .He was happy to take over his dad's position but more than the happiness a nervousness can be clearly seen on his face .
He quickly came out and started to get dressed .He faced the mirror to fix his tie and murmured "You can do this Dhruv,just be focused" .
He was coming down the stairs when his dad saw him and screemed "There comes my son Dhruv Khanna ,the new captain of our ship !"
Dhruv: oh comon dad! Please stop calling me that .You know you are the best leader and I can never even compete on that.
Dad: don't say that beta ,be confident .Just remember from now on the whole company is your responsibility .I always considered my workers as another family and I expect the same from my son.
Dhruv: I know dad .I'll give my 200% .Promise I won't disappoint you .
Dhruv's mom was hearing the whole conversation .She went up to Dhruv's dad and said ,
Mom: Kartik ji ! don't give so much pressure on him .See he is already stressed.(turns to Dhruv) Beta you eat you breakfast ,don't listen to your papa.
Dhruv laughs !
After sometime he left for office.
The traffic seemed extra busy .Dhruv was driving fast since he didn't want to get late on the first day.
Suddenly a girl came in front of his car from nowhere! Dhruv stopped the car at the right time.
Dhruv: Fuck !!! (he came out of his car in hurry)
Dhruv: Are you ok miss ?
Girl: are you blind ? can't you see the puppy ? He could have died if I wasn't on time ! What kind of inhuman person are you ! You don't deserve a car !
The girl was carrying a lil puppy in her lap. Dhruv really didn't saw him coming.
The girl left .
Dhruv's POV :
I stood there numb.
Wait ! Did I just get scolded by a stranger? What the hell? I don't even know her and I tolerated her whole damn speech! Why?
Dhruv thankfully reached his office on time. He was greeted by the employees. He thanked everyone and was accompanied to this cabin by his PA.
Dhruv: What work do we have today?
PA: Sir you have a client meeting and also have to choose people for internship program.
Dhruv: I was thinking to choose young talents for the internship. They have fresh ideas and are totally aware of what the public wants.
PA: That's a great idea sir! Infact now I can easily shortlist people and call them for an interview. Should I fix the interview tomorrow?
Dhruv: I don't think today's meeting will take long. You can call them today's itself. I don't want to delay things.
PA: Well! I'll call them this afternoon.
Dhruv: Yes and please send me the details of today's meeting.
PA: Sure sir, I'll send It right away.
Dhruv: Thank you !
Later that afternoon, Dhruv was watching the HR interviewing the candidates but none meet their needs.
Dhruv: (to himself) Did I take the wrong decision by asking for fresh minds? Should I have gone with the experienced one's?
He was drowned in these thoughts when the door opened and she entered. The one person whom Dhruv would have never expected to see again!
