Kriti returned to work after 3 days. She went to meet Dhruv immediately after entering the office. Dhruv was in his cabin reading files and was not in a good mood. Kriti saw that Dhruv was busy and thus changed her mind. Dhruv noticed that Kriti had returned but he was hurt that she didn't even meet him for once. Later that afternoon Kriti was in the cafeteria when Dhruv came up to him.
Dhruv: (serious tone) so you have returned.
Kriti turned to face him and replied –
Kriti: Yes... I'm sorry you were busy so I couldn't meet you.
Dhruv: Hmm... How is your mother?
Kriti: Yeah she is fine.
Dhruv really wanted to continue the conversation but struggled to find a topic.
Dhruv: I hope you both are coping up with the loss.
Kriti: (CONFUSED) umm yes! I try to keep her happy, but my maa will only be happy when I marry someone (laughs).
Dhruv got conscious on hearing this –
Dhruv: Marriage?
Kriti: Yeah (laughs).
Dhruv: Do you have someone to marry? Umm.... I mean do you love someone?
Kriti: Not really (awkward).
Dhruv: I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way.
Kriti: It's ok.
Dhruv: I wanted to thank you actually.
Kriti: For what?
Dhruv: For handling me with so much care after hearing about Prisha.
Kriti: There is nothing to thank about it. We are friends right?
Dhruv: Ha Ha, right!
Kriti: Are you ok now?
Dhruv: Yes. Infact it's all because of you.
Kriti: Please don't embarrass me like this.
Dhruv: (Laughs!)
Kriti: (shy) Okay... I should get back to work now.
Dhruv: Yeah!
Kriti's POV –
"Do you love someone?"How do I answer this question! I don't know. I cannot explain what I feel! It's too complicated. There is no doubt that I do like Dhruv a lot. He is something different. He cares about me. I am sure that he likes me too. But before he thinks of this thing I should tell him my side.
At home -
Dhruv's POV:
Today she spoke about marriage. I cannot take the risk. Who can say tomorrow she will come with a wedding card and hand it over to me saying – please attend my wedding!! No, I can't let that happen. I have to tell her that I love her! I cannot afford to lose her just like Prisha.
Dhruv was thinking all this when a text message flashed on his screen. It was Kriti. He replied -
Hey are you there?
Yes..
Actually I wanted
to tell you something.
Sure, tell me
No, not like this...
I want to tell you in person
When?
Whenever you want
Ok, let's meet tomorrow.
At work?
No I won't be coming to office tom...
Let's meet after office hour.
I'll text you the location.
Cool!
Infact, I wanted to tell
you something too.
What?
Saving it for tom.
(smile emoji)
