Dhruv's POV:
What the hell did I just do? I actually insulted her in front of the whole staff! It wasn't even a big mistake! Oh God!! Why do I always scream at people! Damn Dhruv... Why don't you have control over your anger? I should go and say sorry to her.
He was getting up from his seat when someone knocked. It was Kriti.
Dhruv: Yes please come in Kriti, have a seat.
Kriti: No I'm alright sir. I had something important to tell you and that's why I came here. Otherwise I would have just left.
Dhruv: (confused) What do you mean by left?
Kriti: I am resigning.
Dhruv was shocked. He didn't expect that much. But he understood that Kriti was not in the state for sorry then. He decided to go logical. For him stopping was much more important than apology.
Dhruv: But I cannot accept your resignation.
Kriti: (surprised) Wh...Why?
Dhruv: Because before joining this job you signed a contract, which clearly said that you have to work here for at least 6 months. Before that period of time neither can you resign, nor can we make you resign.
Kriti almost forgot about that contract. Yes she signed it and thus accepted all the terms and conditions. Without saying anything further she left his cabin.
The whole day Dhruv opted for a good chance to speak to Kriti, but didn't get one. Later after office hour, most of them were leaving. Dhruv came out of his cabin and was searching for Kriti, but she was nowhere. He went up to Zoya who was already packing by then.
Dhruv: Ahemm!
Zoya: Yes sir. (Scared)
Dhruv: Umm, do you have any idea where Kriti is ?
Zoya: Why sir, isn't she around?
Dhruv: No. I don't see her anywhere in the office.
Zoya: Then she must be at the terrace.
Dhruv: Terrace?
Zoya: Yes sir. Whenever she gets stressed she goes to the terrace.
Dhruv: (I see) Thanks Zoya.
Dhruv went to through the stairs and found the terrace door opened.
He opened the door and went in.
There she was. Standing at a corner, facing the front. Her eyes were staring the stars. The light breeze made her open hair hard to control. He hands continuously reached her hair to place them behind her earlobe. She was lost in her thoughts and thus never realized that someone was standing there, watching her, observing her beauty. Dhruv disturbed her thoughts by making a noise while coming towards her.
Kriti turned to see who that was. Upon seeing Dhruv, she felt the insult once again. She ignored eye contact.
She moved and went pass beside Dhruv. She was about to leave when she felt a pull in her hand. It was Dhruv. He hold her hands and pulled her with a jerk. Kriti couldn't handle the sudden pull and lost her balance. Dhruv tried to control her but failed. Both fell on the floor.
Kriti fell over him. She was lying over him! This was the closest they have ever been. But instead of getting up they were looking in each other's eyes. They were trying to find the toughest answer possible "what is this feeling?"
Dhruv was feeling Kriti's warm breath. Her smell was driving him crazy. He was completely invested in that moment. His hands didn't want to let go of her. His eyes never wanted to miss any vision of her. Eyes! Her eyes had turned red! "GOD! I hurt you so much Miss Mehra" – he thought.
The fire was burning same on the other heart.
Kriti's POV:
None of us moved from that position. His hands were wrapped around my waist. It was a hug. I felt a strange peace in his arms. I wanted to stay like that forever. He was the complete different person then. The angry boss who insulted me for no reason, somehow was not there in his eyes anymore. By then he was MY MR Workaholic. The one whom I knew, he one who eyes had concern for me, the one who kept his hands a bit loose to make sure I don't get uncomfortable. His deep brown eyes spoke so much. It seemed like his heart wanted to scream something, but his lips didn't allow it. We were both lost in our own imaginary world. Finally their moment was disturbed by barking of few dogs, and they became conscious of their moment. Dhruv removed his hands for Kriti to get up.
She got up first and then Dhruv.
