CHAPTER 21- Life goes ON!

Dhruv was sobbing by now. His eyes turned red.

Kriti was standing numb. She could have never imagined that Dhruv had faced so much pain.

Dhruv: (still sobbing) My life was never normal again. A part of me died with Prisha. When we reached home, I locked myself in my room for several days. I just thought of Prisha. I have heard that loosing people you love is the biggest pain ever. By then I was experiencing the pain. I was miserable Kriti! I had no reason to live anymore. But time never stops for anyone. Time passed. It took me years to put myself altogether. Dad said joining the office was the best way to move on. I agreed and that's how I'm here now.

Kriti felt extremely sorry for him. She went forward and hugged him.

Dhruv: You remembered that house on the bypass road I stopped by?

Kriti: Yes... Was that...

Dhruv: That was Prisha's house. Whenever I went to met her, she used to stand at that balcony and wave at me. I so wished that I could see her like that again....Looking at me with a smile!

Dhruv broke down completely. He was crying like a child in her arms.

That hug comforted him a lot.

Kriti: I'm really sorry for what happened, Dhruv. But trust me it's not your fault. You are not responsible for anything.

Dhruv: (crying) No it was!!! I forced her to go there. If I haven't planned of surprising her, nothing would have happened.

Kriti: No Dhruv!! You loved her dearly and loving someone can never be a mistake.

They stayed in that hug for few minutes and then parted.

Kriti: But where were you today?

Dhruv: I went to that site. I decided to never return here, but since I came..... (he didn't finish the sentence)

Kriti: Prisha was a lucky girl as she got your unconditional love. You loved her even when she was not with you.

She kissed Dhruv on his check and whispered "Take rest now! I'll see you tom. And I will kill you if you dare to leave me alone ever again"

Dhruv finally tried smiling a little and replied "NEVER"

Kriti went to her room, while Dhruv changed and sat on the bed. But his time instead of Prisha, Kriti was on his mind.

The last kiss surely meant something. It was special!

Kriti's POV:

Today my feelings for Dhruv got stronger. That man really knows to love. His tears made me sad. I just wanted to console him. I don't know what happened but I couldn't control myself today. This was the first time that I initiated a kiss. He loved Prisha so much. Then why did his mother say that he loves me?

The next day Kriti woke up early and went straight to Dhruv's room. The door was opened as always, thus she went in without knocking.

Dhruv was still asleep. Kriti went and sat beside him.

Kriti's POV:

I could not take my eyes off him. He was sleeping like a small kid. The innocence on his face was too cute to handle. I ran my fingers through his messy hair. He didn't react. How can anyone be so cute? He suddenly moved and I got scared. But he didn't open his eyes; instead he wrapped his hands around me. He was cuddling. My face turned red as I blushed. Thank God he was asleep; otherwise I would have died of embarrassment!

She noticed that Dhruv's wallet was lying on the floor. She carefully freed herself from his hug and got up.

She picked the wallet and opened it. She saw a picture of some girl.

She was sure that it was none other than Prisha.

As she looked at her face properly, she was shocked. Her eyes were widened. Her hands trembled and the wallet fell again.

She couldn't believe her own eyes. Her eyes filled with tears.

She didn't bother to pick up the wallet and rushed towards her room. While running, her leg hit the table and she screamed – "AHH"

Dhruv heard the noise and woke up with a jerk.

He saw Kriti running. He called out her but she didn't stop and ran to her room.

Dhruv was confused.

What happened to her?
