Elizabeth Foster thought that she was going to be able to fulfill her dream, to follow in her footsteps into being an archeologist. She was already in grad school, just one year away from graduation. Her mother even promised her a spot in her research group in Egypt alongside her father.
That was until the event that caused all of it to a stop.
Elizabeth found out that her mother was among the archeologists who were murdered in cold blood. Only her father had survived. It was unknown how the man was alive, for when the authorities arrived to interrogate him about the events, Charles Foster had fallen into a catatonic depression caused by his PTSD.
With Elizabeth having to stop her education to save their money, she decides to move out into the city and find a job that would help sustain her father and his needs so that he could come back. She soon finds a job at a museum which was one bus ride from her apartment building.
There she meets Steven Grant.
Elizabeth, of course, had no idea, that meeting him would eventually lead to what really happened to her mother.
