❝ But I can't turn a blind eye anymore, Osiris.
I'm not going to sit idly by and wait for someone to do something.
I'm not going to turn away those in need when I should have the power to save them.❞

It had been almost a week since she came back from Harrow's village.
Since then, she had been waiting. She kept her phone near her at all times while she worked and while she was at home. Just a call or a text was all she needed. To tell her that he was all right to quell the restless anxiety that lingered within her.
But it never came.
The only way to get her mind off of him was her training with Horus, which she had been doing a lot these days now that the director of the museum had given her a few weeks off from her work after finally realizing the severity of her situation. After getting the call, Horus had told her that she needed to go, somewhere much safer because he didn't think that staying in her flat was a good place to stay while she was hiding.
So, she decided to head back to the countryside where her father is. When she arrived, a smile tugged at the corner of her lips when she saw him standing in the garden, watering the flowers that her Mum had planted. It took him a minute to look up from what he was doing to finally spot Elizabeth approaching him.
He gave her a once over because he wasn't expecting one of his daughters to come home, it felt like years since he had last seen Elizabeth. He dropped the watering can on the ground and ran past the gates of his home to meet Elizabeth halfway, his large arms wrapping around the brunette tightly.
After days of feeling like she was being watched, the uneasiness to get out and the worry all disappeared as she found solace in her Dad's arms.
"Lizzie." She heard her Dad call from across the room in a soft voice. She turned her head in his direction and saw him walking up to the living room with two cups of coffee. Elizabeth offered him a grateful smile as she moved her legs from the armrest of her seat to the floor.
"Thanks," she told him, tipping the mug in his direction before taking a sip.
Charles eyed his youngest daughter worriedly. When he came back, she wasn't the same as when she left for London. Her eyes had bags under them, eyes red and puffy from crying and what's worse, he rarely does her smile anymore. He assumed that London had taken a toll on her, but he knew something else was troubling her.
"Care to tell me why my little sparrow is so gloomy?" he queried as he rose from his previous seat to get closer to Elizabeth, arm draping her shoulders to pull her closer to him. Elizabeth released a heavy sigh as she scooted much closer to his body. It was quiet after he spoke, the only sound that could be heard was the pitter-patter of raindrops on the ground outside. She closed her eyes, feeling peacefulness flowing through her body.
"Dad. There's something you should know." She looked up to meet Charles' curious gaze. She then left the comfort of his arms so that she could stand in front of him with her arms outstretched towards her bag that she left there last night. Charles' eyebrows knotted together in confusion as he glanced between Elizabeth and her outstretched hand.
