McLeach x Reader - Pt. 3 (Final)

A year and a half passes by, and you were doing well for yourself. After explaining what happened to you and Cody to his mom, she decided to move away, thanks to your help. You gave her some money you saved from your job, and in no time, her and Cody have moved away where he's safe.

Of course, as a thank you for saving Cody, she gives you the house. Sweet, right?

Well, yes, and no. You were sad at first, thinking about how you'll miss going on little adventures with Cody and his friends. But then again, you were very relieved, that he is now safe. Completely away from danger. Especially from that poacher.

After achieving many tasks involving hunting animals that are causing harm to the people, you were offered a partnership with the rangers. Meaning that if they aren't able to handle the situation, they call you, and you handle the rest.

This was great, and it was going well, until one day. You were at home relaxing, since there was nothing going on. That is, until your phone rang. You look at the caller ID to see it was the rangers calling you. You pick it up, and answer, "Hello?"

"Hello, Ms. (L/Name). This is the commissioner. Sorry for bothering you on your day off." The man says.

"Oh, no problem sir. What can I help you with today?" You asked, a bit confused as to why the commissioner would be calling you. Usually only the rangers would be calling you.

"Well, it's not another animal problem. It's something else." He answers. You were silent at that moment, but immediately broke it by asking, "Something else? What do you mean?"

"Well, there's a man here in our federal office who is offering to work with you. He says he knows you, and he has a... pet with him." He explained.

This made you almost drop your phone. The way he said 'pet with him' in the end, it... it can't be him. Right? You then ask that one question. "Did he say what his name was?"

"Yes. Percival McLeach."

Your. Jaw. Dropped.

'Oh. Crap.' You thought to yourself. McLeach? At the Federal Office? Wanting to work with you?!

"Anyway, would you mind coming down to the station to confirm what he says?" He asks.

You take a deep breath, and think for a moment. But thinking McLeach won't give up, you say, "Sure. I'm on my way."

"Alright. See you in a bit." He says, and you hang up. You ran your hands through your hair, and pace around the room. You could not believe that this is happening. Percival McLeach, the man you haven't seen for a year and a half, just shows up out of the blue? Random thoughts were running through your head. What if he's planning to get revenge? Is he gonna kill me once we see each other? What if he's-

"No! No, he can't. He won't. Even if he tries, it will be me who will take him down." You said to yourself as you throw your boots on, head out to your car, and drive to the station.

You arrive at the station, and park into your reserved spot. "You can do this, (Name). You faced him before, you can do it again." You say to yourself, turn off your engine, and step out of the car. You head inside, and see the commissioner, standing over a familiar figure, with a familiar big green lizard. The commissioner looks up to see you, and smiles.
