Ivy began to inspect the people in the ballroom, she adored masquerade balls, and after all it was Christmas. She wondered when people would begin to put up Christmas trees after all her brother said he saw a vision of it once and that was a type of vision that was highly unlikely to be changed.

As she made her way around the room she noticed a girl stood lonely in the corner, Ivy could sense a great deal of power radiating of the girl so she made her way over,

"Pardon my interruption, but you appear to be without company would you mind if I joined you" she asked kindly the women looked up and smiled kindly before nodding her head yes.

Now, Ivy was never one for love at first sight she hated it for all you know the person could be a murderer but as Ivy looked into the woman's deep forest green eyes, she begun to understand the phrase 'love at first sight'.

"I'm Freya"

"Ivy" she said in reply.

"How long have you been living here" Freya looked up at Ivy and smiled and yet she could see sadness behind the blondes eyes,

"A year but I'm leaving today" Ivy smiled sweetly if she had a to leave somewhere she supposed a Christmas party would be a pleasant way to close of a chapter of your life.

"Are you alright, pardon my intrusion but you seem lost in thought?" Freya asked

"Oh no don't apologise, I was just thinking how if I were to leave somewhere or someone I'd want to do it over Christmas, for it is my favourite holiday"

"Mine too" at this Ivy broke out into a Cheshire Cat like smile, the blonde smiled back but soon faltered as she fell slightly only to be caught by Ivy.

"Are you alright" the red head asked in concern.

"Yes but I fear my night is all but spent" she said solemnly as she began to make her way towards the exit.

It was saddening for Freya that out of all days she could meet someone it would be today for she was to go back into her 100 year sleep, Although if she were to have met anyone. Ivy with hair like embers in the night sky would be a good person to meet. Although the witch destined to sleep for a gourd hundred years was annoyed at herself why did she feel as if she were already falling for the girl.

"Will I ever see you again" Ivy called out.

"I'm afraid not, unless you hunt around the world for me" she said sadly knowing Ivy would be dead long before she awoke.

"Then I shall Freya" she spoke confidently before giving the blonde one last smile and turning around.

Ivy did not know what had got into her that night one minute she was denying that love at first sight could ever be a thing then, she was promising a girl that she would travel the world to find her.

God she needed her siblings back with their logical thinking.

At first Ivy had fulfilled her promise but it was hundreds of years later and the girl with blonde hair, greens eyes and the beauty of which to match Aphrodite would now be dead so. Ivy put it in the past but never forgot.

Although Freya was not the reason Ivy and Dylan were in London. They were instead there to find Rory the eldest of the siblings and the most annoyingly difficult to find given that she has supposedly 'settled down' or settled down as well as an immortal witch could.

The solution to finding their sister was to track her magic which was a special bond the siblings had due to their powers, meaning no incantations were necessary however the annoying part was the fact that their sister had not used her powers in several months, maybe even years so they were tracking older trails. but now after five months they were only seconds away from finding her hence why Ivy and and Dylan had split up.

As she was making her way around the corner a girl let out a cry as a man pushed her against the wall. Ivy was not about to let a disrespectful man harm the poor girl so she set his coat on fire, only she didn't do this as secretively as she hoped considering merely seconds later she heard his heavy feet behind her as he screamed.

"Witchcraft, burn her at the stake" at this other voices sounded throughout the cobblestone streets of London.

"Now I've done it" Ivy muttered under her breath.
Luckily as she rounded yet another corner she came across her brother and grabbed him by the wrist

"I suggest you run."

A/N I didn't write the meeting scene cause that would be boring anyway two or three chapters left of act 1 because it's just short background setting up for the originals
Also I got pissed on a field and now I have a bad hangover
