Harry's POV
"Ron what are you bloody doing?!" Hermione shrieked. "I can't have anymore of my family getting hurt, they need to be safe!" He growled. "Stupefy!" Hermione dodged Ron's spell but I wasn't so lucky. I flew backwards and everything went black. "HARRY!" Hermione's voice slowly faded away.Draco's POV
I watched as the redhead sent Potter flying across the room. I backed away right next to my aunt. "Draco there you are!" She said highly annoyed. I stared at her with fear in my eyes. "Your parents had been looking everywhere for you! Come on!" She grabbed my wrist harshly and dragged me away from Hermione who was about to be hit with a spell. "HERMIONE LOOK OUT!" I screamed. She ducked just in time as the green spell went past her. "What?! Was that for?!" Bellatrix shouted. "I can't leave her!" I struggled against her grasp to get to Hermione but it was pointless. She was never going to let me go. She continued to drag me away. I watched until Hermione faded out of view and I felt like the world had gone dark. Voldemort had won. Everyone knew it. The moment Harry didn't duck, he had lost. The moment they realized Ron changed sides. He had known too much for them to win. No one else from his family would've gotten hurt. If he'd only stayed with his friends. Eventually we were in the forest. Bellatrix threw me in front of her. "Draco!" My mother ran to me and hugged me. "Are you alright?" She asked. "I'm fine..." I mumbled. "What's wrong?" She slowly pulled away from the hug. "He won... Voldemort won the war," I said. Bellatrix's eyes lit up and she smiled. My mother stood silent knowing not to say anything that could get us hurt. "At least your safe," she said holding my hand. "Yeah but my friends aren't!" I shouted. "Some of them are dead! Most of them are injured! And she dragged me away from protecting one of them," I pointed towards Bellatrix. "Draco I understand that-" "No you don't understand! You've never lost anyone that close to you!" I shouted. I immediately regretted what I had said. I had forgotten about Andromeda. "Mother I...." I started. "It's fine," she said. "You weren't thinking," this time I hugged her. I started crying. "Stop crying!" My father said. He was trying to sound annoyed but I could tell her was either afraid or sad. "Lucius now's not the time for that," my mother said to him. He sat down next to us and hugged me as well. "Will you all- PROTEGO!" Bellatrix said. We all looked towards her. She had drawn her wand and was aiming it behind us. My father turned and he too drew his wand. Aurors. They aimed their wands at us. But they weren't taking us anywhere. This was a war. They were ready to kill. My mother too drew her wand and kept me behind her. I of course, being the person I was took out my wand and went next to her, rather than behind. "Avada Kadavra!" One of them said. I barely had time to react. My father pulled me out of the way quickly. "Get to the castle," he said to me. I shook my head. "Im not leaving you," I mumbled. Suddenly a flash of green light hit him. "NO!" My mother screamed. He fell in front of me. She ran to him desperately trying to wake him up. Bellatrix grabbed our hands and apparated to the manor. "Please... please wake up!" My mother cried. But we all knew it was no use. I collapsed, my tears falling on the marble floor below me. "We have to get back to the war..." my aunt whispered to me. I nodded and slowly got up, wiping the tears from my eyes. "Let's go," she said. My mother slowly stood up and took her hand. When we got there, people were gathered around. "Where is Lucius?!" Voldemort hissed to us. My mother refused to look at him and I just stared down. Bellatrix whispered something to him and he nodded slowly. "Forgive me, I wasn't informed about the event until now. I'm sorry," he said. Be we knew he didn't care. He wasn't sorry at all. "We have captured the Mudblood and Potter!" He cheered to the deatheaters. They cheered and laughed but my mother stayed silent. Mudblood... Hermione. "What do you plan on doing with them?" I asked slowly not trying to show the fear in my voice.Hermione's POV
I sat in the cage struggling to get out. "We will put Potter in Azkaban and Granger will be dead by dawn. My heart dropped. I was going to die. I looked at Draco who's eyes were full of fear. "I'd like to take her!" He said quickly. I looked at him oddly as did the rest of the people. Voldemort looked like he wanted to say something but couldn't find the words. After a few minutes he sighed. "Very well," he whispered. I was dead. I was under the custody of Draco, his parents, and his crazy aunt. Draco smiled at me hopefully. And everything kind of stopped. All I could think about was his smile. It was the one day of sunshine that had peaked through the storm. Quite a few other people thought this too. But then I remembered who he was... everything was not going to end well.
