"I can do this," I whisper.
"You can," Louis whispers back, a sad hint in his voice.
I stare back at the phone screen and take a deep breath before pressing the green button, accepting Niall's video call to discover him and Liam sitting beside each other.
"Harry... You answered," Liam says in shock, seeing as I'd ignored all their calls for the past three months.
"He answered?" Zayn's voice calls, and he comes up behind Niall and Liam.
"Hey mate... How you holding up?" Niall asks carefully. I roll my eyes, they don't need to tiptoe around me.
"I'm fine. I have no reason to not be fine," I reply, trying to hide my annoyance.
"Right... Still in denial, okay," Liam says, nodding lightly.
"I'm not in denial, nothing happened, he's fine, in the bathroom right now even," I tell them, not bothering to hide my annoyance this time. Zayn looks on the verge of tears, though Niall and Liam both give deep sighs.
"Okay... Um, anything new going on?" Niall asks, and I notice his eyes watering as well.
"Not really. Lou and I've been watching tons of movies and he's still healing," I reply, and Zayn leaves abruptly.
"Jesus Harry, you're no good alone," Liam says, shaking his head before pushing himself off the couch, probably to follow Zayn, and Niall picks up the phone.
"I'm sorry, we've gotta go," he says before hanging up the call.
"I'm not alone," I mumble after it's too late.
