A Promising Prayer ( ON HOLD)

As I finished my prayer, i felt Alexia bed began to move. I opened my eyes and she was waking up, looking around. "M-Ma?" She looked at me and struggled to sot up. "Yes baby? Are you okay?" I asked her sitting up in full attention of her. "Why am I here? Why are these things in my arms? What happened momma?!" She questioned cluelessly pulling on the IV's in her arm. "No baby" i said calmly stopping her from bothering the IV's in her arm. "You okay, do you remember what happened earlier?" I asked her as she layed back. "Me and Milia were out side playing, and I remember someone hitting me" She said. I looked at Minia who had began to wake up, I nodded at Alexia. It was clear she didn't remember what happened, so i didn't question her no further. The doctor came in and had two cups in here hand. "Hey, Alexia you woke?" She said smiling at her walking towards her machines, Alexia didn't say anything she just stared. I bumped Alexia for being rude, "can you pee in these cups for me Alexia?" The doctor asked, Alexia looked at me and I nodded at her to ensure her every was okay. She looked away from me Nd looked up and the doctor "yeah" Alexia answered, "we gone a bed pan ok?" The doctor said grabbing two pans from under the cabinet. Alexia nodded and sat up, the doctor put on gloves. Me and Minia lifted Alexia up on both sides the doctor put the bed pan under her. The doctor held the cups under her as she pee'd, when she was done the doctor left with the cups. She told us she would have the results shortly. Me and Minia talked about what happened, one of the nurses came in and told me Alexia had to stay for a few days. I took out my phone then called my job to tell them what was going, even though it was a fast food job it was my only way of income. As soon as i hung up from with them Don called me "hello?" I answered getting up walked out.
"Where u at?" He asked sounding kinda pissed, "im at the hospital with Alexia" i told him. "What's wrong with her" he asked with emotion in his voice. "She was outside playing and she got snatched and she got rape" i said started to cry again. "Im on the way"he said angrily as he hung up. Even tho Don and I wasn't together he cared about his daughter more than anything. I went back in the room and sat back next to Alexia's bed. "I gotta go" Minia walked over to me with her eyes glued to the text. "Okay" i told her getting up hugging her. "Thank you" i told her as she hugged me back. "I will be back later, i gotta go pick Milia up" she told me as she headed to the door. As she was leaving Don was walking in "wassup Minia" he said speaking to her as she waved and walked passed him. "Wassup Promise" he said as he walked to me and kissed me on my cheek. "Hey" i said looking at him, he walked over to Alexia's bed "Wassup baby girl" he said sitting on the other side of her bed where Minia was sitting. "Hey da" she said looking up from her phone, " you good?"he asked looking at her. "Yeah, im fine" she told him looking back down at her phone, i kinda wave my hand to get his attention. Once he looked up at me I signaled him to the door, he nodded and we went out to step in the hall. Once he closed the door i told him what the doctor told me. "So basically she was raped and we don't know who, where or how?!" He asked angrily. I nobbed saying yes as we talked the doctor walked up behind us "Ms.King" she said looking down at her clip board . "Yeah?" I answered pausing me and Don conversation. "All of her test results were negative, except one" she said looking up from her clip board. "Which one?" I asked looking at her "the pregnancy was positive" she said look at me and Don. "Are you her father" she looking at Don he nodded yes . "So you mean to tell me my 13 year old daughter is pregnant?" I asked starting to cry. "Yes ma'am, she has the option to keep it or abort it" she tells me. I cryed harder, Don walked closer to me and Hugged me. I couldn't even seem to process the fact that I have a 13 year old daughter who's pregnant. I was not finna let her ruin her life and before it began. I whipped my tears on Don shirt, after the doctor stopped talking i went back in and sat next to Alexia. She was watching cartoons on the tv, Don came in behind me and sat on the other side. "Alexia babe we need to talk" i told her, "Ma'am" she answered. "I know you forgot what happened, earlier but you were taken. A man took you and raped you" i told her breaking down. Don looked over ate me with wide eyes, "now your pregnant Alexia" i told her looking at her in the eyes. She sat up and looked at me "why is you telling her this" Don said angrily . "Because she need to fucking know she to old for me to hide it" i told him slightly raising my voice. "So theres a baby inside of me" Alexia asked looking at her stomach. I nodded yes, even tho Alexia was 13 i was still going to let her make the choice if she want to have the baby or not. If she choice to keep it i would raise it so she could live her life as a choice. If she aborted it could be something she regret for the rest of her life. I watched her as she sat there and looked at her stomach "do you wanna keep it?" I asked, she nodded yes. I hump my shoulders and looked at Don "make sure its ok with your daddy" i told her, "pops what do you think?" She asked him. "I agree with your momma, its up to you. Imma just really have to be around more to help out you and your momma" he said slightly smiling at me. I nodded, "so i guess its final we gonna keep it" i said.
