A Promising Prayer ( ON HOLD)

Part 15

KNOCK KNOCK
"Who is it" I yelled forgetting that i left the front door open, fear over took my body again.
"Its me mike" Mike said yelling from right outside my room door. I quickly opened the door with Alexis and my bags in my hand.
"Lets goo" he said grabbing the bags, as he followed me to the steps.
Rushing down the steps out the door to his car, i quickly opened the door to the back seat to put Alexis in. We both got in and he took us to his house, otw there I continued to try and call Don friends and Family and Trell. No answers, "what happened?" Mike asked helping me get my bag out the back of his car.
"I don't even know " i said grabbing Alexis car seat walking to his front door. His house was a average house that was a creamish color with a huge window that sat in the front of the house. I stood on the porch waiting on him to come up and open the door, once we were in i went to the living room. Just as i sat down my phone ring, it was a random number. So I answered
"Hello ?" I answered as i sat down on the all black leather couch.
"Hey baby" a deep voice said.
"Who is this?" I asked
"Don" he replied
"Where tf are you?" I asked
"We went out for drinks im otw home now" he said sounding a lil drunk.
"Dont go home!" I said sternly
"Why not bae?" He asked
"Just don't, meet me at Jones Hotel downtown " i said looking up at Mike.

"I gotta go" i said heading towards the door.
"I will take you" he said as I opened the door heading back towards his car.

I put Alexis back in the back seat with her seatbelt on. Once i did that i got in the front and so did Mike once he was done locking up the house. He look me in my eyes

"You sure you wanna go" he said

I slowly nodded, without another he pulled off. On the way there i began to text Don to tell him i was on the way, but i looked up to see we were going in the wrong direction.

"Do you know how to get there?" I asked looking over at Mike.
He didn't respond, he stared straight ahead tighting his grip on the driving wheel.
I sat straight up, as he began to drive faster. I turn the location on my phone and text Don telling him to come get me. Mike was driving so fast turning and swerving that Alexis woke up, i took off my seat belt and tryed to turn around in my seat.
"Sit down ma" Mike said calmly,
"She crying" i said taking off her seatbelt
"At least let me feed her" i added grabbing her and her baby bag turning back around in my seat.
"If i cant have you, nobody will" he said looking at me.
"Yall are my family " he said looking at me and Alexis.
