"So uh you have a couple of choices, you can sleep in the hammocks, out in the Glade, or you can uh, uh..." I stopped. I didn't want to come on to her because I just met her but I feel like I have feelings for her ever since she got here."I'm guessing that this place is called the Glade?""Yeah. This whole place is the Glade. You will learn more tomorrow." I said almost glad that she asked that question."And what is my last option of sleeping arrangements?" Miranda smirked. I see her blush and look into her eyes almost seeing her think."Well you could uh, sleep with me in the Homestead. I mean share my room. Not actually sleep with me. It's locked so you wouldn't have to worry about the other guys. I mean if you want." I smiled at her. Looking at her intently trying to read her face for an answer."Ya know I would love that. I don't want to have to worry about those guys trying to play anything on me. I don't know these people let alone trust them. Yet." Miranda said. She had a cute smirk on her face. Her eyes had a devious look to them.I smiled at her again. A look of excitement washed over my face briefly before being replaced with seriousness. "Well we better get you some food and then some sleep. I'll show you where to go." I turned towards the Homestead. I think to myself why I even leaded her outside. I guess it was because I didn't expect her to want to stay with me. "So I have one question that I would like to be answered before tomorrow. I was wondering what-" She was cut off before I could hear her finish."So Newt is this the new Greenie? She is cute." Minho said."Slim it Minho. Her name is Miranda. And yeah she is the new Greenie." I was really annoyed. I somehow developed an instinct to protect her. Like she was mine."Hey Newt, who said you got first shot at the Greenie? What is some of us want her too?" It was Gally this time. He was a shuck face shank who just likes to cause trouble."Hey I have an idea Gally, why don't you leave us alone and we can enjoy our meal?" I am seriously getting pissed off. Who does he think he is? He can't just say anything he wants."Ok Newt. I'll leave you and your new girlfriend alone. Just to let you know we all know that you like her ever since you wouldn't let anyone except you run after her after she came." Gally had a smug look on his face like he had just won."Listen Gally one, I'm not his girlfriend, two I'm not some piece of meat that you can just call dibs on, and three I think you're just lonely because nobody in this world will ever like you with that attitude." Miranda's face was blistering red. She looked like she was bomb ready to explode in his face. "Greenie's got a mouth on her. Maybe we should fix that." Gally had a scowl on his face that was bright red.I stepped in between Miranda and Gally. I punched him the nose. Gally immediately started bleeding. He charged at me but before he could hit me I dodged him. I was quick. Gally fell on the ground and then Alby and Minho jumped on him holding him to the ground. I grabbed Miranda's arm and rushed her out of the Homestead."Come on Miranda. I'll get you some food later but I don't want you in there while Gally is being a shucking idiot." I said. My anger was showing. I noticed that she wasn't beside me anymore and her arm wasn't in my hand."Bloody hell Miranda, keep up unless you want Gally coming out here trying to beat the klunk out of you." I turned around. I was dumbfounded that she didn't care for her own bloody safety."Newt?""Yeah Miranda?""The question I wanted answered before tomorrow is what do I look like?" She seemed nervous. I felt like she was leading to something but I was still so mad that I couldn't think."Well you have medium length dark brown hair. Big dark brown eyes that sparkle when you get mad. You have a good complexion that is tan. Your cheeks flush when you are nervous and mad. You are firmly built with a beautiful figure. I heard people say that they thought you beautiful. You look about 5'7" and 16 years old." I blushed. I saw her face light up immediately washing my anger away."Thanks. Do you think that I will ever be treated normally? I mean like I'm not a girl, like I can't take care of myself?" She lowered her head. She was either embarrassed or disappointed."I do. I think you will be treated normal. I know that it will be difficult but I am here for you and that is all that matters." I walk closer to her. I was hesitant but put my hand on her waist. "Newt I think I'm falling for you. I know it sounds crazy but I just feel some sort of connection to you and I can't shake it." I look into her brown eyes. She was truly beautiful. I put my other hand to her cheek that was blushing. I feel her shiver and smile. "I've already fallen for you. As soon as you got out of the box on your own I was falling for you." I said. I don't want to leave this moment. I moved my face forward. I can feel her breath on my face. I can feel her move closer.
