Alby and Minho were bustling about ordering people around, gathering as much food and water to take with us. Me and Newt were getting people to grab weapons and figuring out when we were going to leave. My heart was thumping out of my chest. I couldn't believe that after 3 months of being here, falling in love, and having crazy adventures. I am about to leave my whole life behind to find a better one and have a life full of love. Newt and I went to sleep in his bed. He snaked his arms around my waist and I snuggled into his chest. I tried to fall asleep but my nerves wouldn't let me. I laid awake in the dark room thinking.I am terrified. We are going to face the Grievers. We are going to face death and fear and a million other possibilities. I faced losing Newt. I faced living a life without the people I love and can't live without. I also faced fighting my way out to live a normal life if there was a such thing after the Glade. I could live the rest of my life with my brothers and my Newt.To that I fell asleep only to be shaken away three hours later.

"What the HELL?" I yell. Thomas was right over me shaking me awake. I shove him away and nuzzle back into Newt. Only he wasn't there. I look around the room to find that he was already gone.

"Calm down Miranda, it's time to go. We are leaving in an hour." Thomas says. I nod my head and get dressed. I pull my hair into a ponytail and walk to the kitchen. I look around for Newt but once again he wasn't there. I saw Minho sitting with Chuck and Alby.

"Hey guys. Where is Newt?" I ask. They divert their eyes and don't answer.

"Hey, Where is Newt. I know you know Minho." I said. Why were they keeping it from me.

"Well last night I saw him walk into the deadheads. Marie went in after him a few minutes later." Minho said tensing up. I wanted to scream. Why did they meet in private? Did she follow him? Did he tell her to? Too many questions were swirling around in my head. I nodded my head and walked out leaving my food on the table. I go to get my weapon and my pack of food and then wait by the doors of the maze for everybody to get ready to go. I couldn't help but watch the deadheads for Newt to come out but he didn't. I sighed and sat down. It was going to be a while. I must have dozed off when Minho was shaking me awake. I quickly stood up and brushed my pants off. I looked around for Newt.

"He's over there. He's been looking for you but he had a lot to do before we left." Minho said pointing to the other side of the Glade. I looked over and he met my eyes. He smiled and waved and I just smiled. I was going to let him find me after he left during the three hours I was actually asleep. Did he even sleep or just until I was asleep to slip away? I pushed the thoughts out of my head. I leaned against the wall staring at Newt. He was with a group of boys and started walking towards me.

"Hey Miranda. Whats up?" Newt said hugging me.

"Nothin'." I said. I didn't want to seem rude but I was tired and a little mad about him leaving and being with Marie. She was bad news for our relationship.

"Miranda what's wrong?" He ask pulling away and looking down into my eyes. Oh his eyes get me everytime. He will look at me and I will spill out all of my secrets."Where did you go this morning?" I ask."Just to the deadheads I needed to calm down before we go to the Maze." He said. He looked like shit. So he didn't sleep at all.

"Really cause Minho told me that after you went into the dead heads Marie went in too." I say. I didn't want to sound mean but I couldn't help but be jealous. He left to be with her?

"Miranda nothing happened. She came in when I was crying because I knew that I could loose you today and I did not want that to happen. She consoled me and gave me some advice." He said rubbing my cheeks. I put my hand on his but I was hurt. Hurt that he felt like he couldn't come to me, his girlfriend, to tell me that he was worried and needed to be a natural human and cry. It seems like he never wants to cry but I can tell he needs to. I was hurt that she took the place of me too.Newt noticed my hurt and kissed me lightly on the lips.
