My Glue (A Newt Fanfic)

We Found It

I woke up again unsure of what happened. I was still in my clothes from yesterday so I went to one of Newt's dresser drawers where I keep my new spare clothes. I changed into some yoga pants and T-shirt. I walked out of Newt's room to find nobody around. I walked down to the kitchen and saw everybody already mostly done eating.

"Why didn't you wake me up? I've got to go running and check out that device with Minho." I said to Newt as I shoved all my food into my mouth.

"I figured you needed sleep so I let you sleep." Newt said patting the seat next to him.

"I can't sit. I've got to go get ready before I'm late and Minho kills me." I say running out of the homestead and to the map room. I got ready in a matter of seconds. I ran out and to the door to see Minho waiting at the closed doors.

"Well there you are. Take too long to make sure you look good?" Minho asked slapping my ass. I slapped him in the arm and he laughed.

"You look good in those pants."

"Oh now don't you start. I've already got to deal with Newt hating Thomas because he 'loves' me, I dont him to hate you too." I said as smart ass as I could manage.

"Don't worry. I don't think of you THAT much." Minho says exaggerating the word that.

"Plus you can have Marie." I say laughing.

"Oh God no." He said.

The doors opened and we began running. We didn't meet any Grievers today so we actually made it to the outer edges. We got almost to the Cliff when the device started buzzing. I took it out and moved it around. It got stronger in a certain place so we followed where it got stronger like a homing device until we got to the Cliff.

"What the hell, why did it lead us to the cliff?" I say.

"Lets find out." He said picking up and throwing a rock. I fell down until we couldn't see it and didn't hear it. I threw one. Then Minho. Then me and so on until one disappeared.

"Do you see that? It disappeared!" I threw another one in the same place and it did it again.

"Whoa. I think that may be our way out." He smiled at me and we began running back to the Glade.We made it back way before the doors closed so we had time to go to the map room and figure stuff out.

"So you think we can jump through that hole and get out?" I asked.

"Yeah I think we could because if they can, we can." Minho says.

"We should go tell Alby and Newt."

"Okay."

We walked out of the map room. I went to find Newt and Minho went to find Alby.

"Hey Newt!" I yelled when I got close enough for him to hear. Marie looked up but we both ignored her.

"Why are you back so early?" Newt said embracing me in a hug.

"We found something. Something that might be our way out of here." I say grabbing his hand and leading him to where Alby and Minho were.

"So," I start.

"We found an area by the Cliff. That device led us to the Cliff. So we started throwing rocks off the edge. At a certain area off of the Cliff, the rocks didn't fall, they just disappeared. We think that is where the Grievers go to leave the Maze during the day." I say.

"We call it the Griever hole and we think their way in/out is our way out." Minho finished.

"So we found it? We found our way out?" Alby asked.

"Yeah, I think we did." I say.
