Chapter 22: Get Some Rest!

(Layla's POV)

Toretto made me stay on the couch ALL DAY. But, I am pretty happy to be home. Toretto has been super overprotective. He won't let me do ANYTHING for myself. 

Tony- Hey. Do you need anything?

Layla- No... Actually...Umm... yea

Tony- Okay. What?

Layla- I want you to come to sit with me.

Tony- Sure.

He sits down next to me and we turn on a movie. I lay my head on his shoulder, but the moment was interrupted by someone calling Toretto.

Tony- Hello? It's this weekend?! Umm... I'll try to make it. I'll see if she will be okay to come. Okay bye.

Layla- Who was that?

Tony- Dom. He said they are having the Annual Toretto Family Reunion this weekend and wanted to know if we could come. 

Layla- We like all of us?

Tony- Well, Frostee has to work at the restaurant, Cisco has a cooking class, and Echo is going to an art festival that will only be here the day of the reunion. So it would be just the 2 of us.

Layla- Well, I'll go.

Tony- You were just shot and had surgery YESTERDAY! I don't think it is good for you to go. You are supposed to be resting.

Layla- I'll just sit most of the time we are there anyways. I'll be fine!

Tony- As long as you take it easy.

Layla- I will! I promise! Plus, I want to meet the rest of your family.

Tony- Fine. We can go. But no walking around a lot!

Layla- Okay.

We sat back down and continued the movie. I lay my head down again and Toretto pulls me in closer. I was playing with the ring that he gave me. The one I used to talk to him when I was kidnapped. Halfway through the movie, I fell asleep in Toretto's arms. I had my legs across his lap and my head against his chest. He had his arms on my waist holding me up. The crew came in and I woke up. They were making fun of us. Making hearts with their hands and kissy faces.

Tony- Guys.

Layla- Are you serious?

Ms. Nowhere and Palindrome walked in.

Ms. Nowhere- FINALLY! I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WOULD NEVER GET TOGETHER!

Palindrome- I'm happy for you guys. You finally admitted your feelings to each other.

Frostee- TAYLA FOR THE WIN!

Layla- What the heck is Tayla?!

Frostee- It's your ship name!

Layla- Do not start calling us that, Frostee!

Frostee- Fine! I'm just really excited you guys are finally together!

Everyone left and it was just Toretto and me. We got in the car and turned on the radio. I was in a great mood and started to sing along to the music. When I started, Toretto looked at me with his usual silly Toretto smile.
