3rd POV
The following day, the doors to the back of the truck are thrown open. Will enters, making his way over to Rachel. The mother holds her two children close to she stares at him, not daring to move a muscle. Will crouches down in front of her. "Please forgive us," he pleads softly before noticing her hesitation and making his way out of the back. Stopping to help Jonas out of his bindings, "We're refueled. I'm going to head for the stronghold," he announces. "All right," Jonas replies, turning his gaze to Rachel and the sleeping kids in sorrow and regret for what they had to witness.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the woods, Varek and his crew are cleaning themselves up after a night of bloodshed and preparing to continue their hunt for Timothy. Zo's attention, however, is entirely on Sonja as she gets dressed. "Hey, hey, hey, hey," he calls out to her. She keeps her attention in front of her as he continues his advances. "You know you might like it if you try it." He offers. She turns her attention to him and stares blankly. "Not in this lifetime," she rejects before making her way over to her bike parked next to Varek's, the man turning towards her and giving a smirk.
Sighing, Sonja looks at him. "Where the hell are we going to go?" she asks. Varek looks past her to the scarred man with the hawk "Follow the leader' he states, watching as the man releases the hawk. Altogether the group starts up their bikes and prepares to continue the hunt. Varek looks to Zo "Zo.," he calls out, causing the man to look towards him. "Yeah," he replies. "Let's get it done," Varek commands as they all off.

Back with the others, Jonas finishes up a bottle of juice before he makes his way over to Rachel, who has distanced herself from the group and is currently staring off into a lake beneath the cliffs. She notices him as he gets closer and turns her attention back to the lake with her arms crossed firmly across her chest. Jonas stands quietly beside her for a moment. "I'm the same man, Rachel," he tells her. Rachel scoffs, shaking her head, "No, you're not. Not to me," she began looking over at him. "You've been living like this your whole life? Every month?" she inquired. Jonas nodded, running her hands through her hair. Rachel sighed, "What about them? The ones coming for us? When they change, do they...?" she continued before being cut off. "They hunt, and they kill. They're addicted to blood. Once you feed, you can't go back." he explained to her. The mother of two turns to her brother-in-law and marches over to him. "Those beasts killed my husband, and now they're after my children? How is a thirteen-year-old boy gonna end all of this? And what is it that they want with Lexi?" she seethes. "They're special, Rachel," Jonas begins, "I don't know why they see Lexi as a threat, but just like Tim, she has something that they see as a threat, and they will do everything in their power to stop them from reaching their full potential" he pauses, taking a breath before continuing "the nightmares, the ma, the bouts of anger, the random moments of inhuman strength.... Timothy and Lexi. Their bodies are at war with themselves, and they need you. We need you" he finishes looking to her pleadingly.
Taking a heavy breath, Rachel looks at Jonas. "So, what now? How do we keep my children safe?" she asks. "Now, we keep together, and we stay out of sight. Now there are just two more days. We're so close, Rachel," he explained. The two are abruptly interrupted by a frantic Lexi rushing towards them; grabbing her mother, she tries to pull her towards the truck. Stopping her, Rachel turns her daughter to look in her direction; noticing the frantic and worried look, Rachel frowns, "Lexi, baby, what is it? What's wrong?" she asks. "It's Tim. We were on our way to find you, but he looked pale and was complaining about not feeling well, and then he passed out," she explained in a rush. Quickly rushing to the van, Lexi and Rachel focused on helping Tim while Jonas rounded up the others, and they all made their way to the hospital.
