Autumn 1975
- I guess that's it. - John could hear her voice fail, he could tell that she was trying to hold back her tears.
She was closing the trunk's door and trying to avoid his gaze. Betsy knew that it was in vain, she would have to face him, even if it was the last time.
She took a deep breath before turning to him.
He was staring at her with his deep blue eyes. She used to love his eyes, there was something about the way that he looked at her like she was his whole world, like she was too good to be real that made her heart melt. But now, all she saw was decepition.
She really wished that there was another way.
She still loved him, so much that it hurted just to think about it. Betsy couldn't imagine a day that she wouldn't love him.
But sometimes love isn't enough.
- Come on, Y/N. - Betsy shifted her eyes to their daughter. - Say goodbye to your dad.
Y/N walked towards her dad with her eyes filled with tears, although she didn't let any go. She promised herself that she wouldn't cry, she had to be strong for her mom.
John lowered to be on the girls height.
- I will always love you Y/N. - He said giving her a sad smile.
The little girl wrapped her arms around his neck, holding him as tightly as she could.
- I will always love you too, Daddy. - She said letting a tear roll. - No matter how far away I am.
After she let go of him, she went to the car, without looking back.
Betsy looked at him one more time
- She looks so much like you. - She said to him
John nodded in disagreement.
- No, she's good. - He said and looked into Betsy's eyes. - She is all you.
Betsy felt her throat close.
- I wish it could be different, John. - She said felling her tears rolling on her face. - I really did.
John nodded and watched as Betsy got in the car.
- I wish it too, dollface. - Kresse whispered to himself as she drove away from him.

Autumn 1984
Kreese watched his daughter from his office.
He observed as she laughed at something Jimmy said while they were stretching. She reminder him so much of Betsy that it hurt. And all he could think was how he had failed her just like he had failed her mother.
He wanted to be her dad again, but he didn't know if that was possible. He wanted to tell her that he loved her more than anything, that all he wanted was for her to be the best that she could be.
But he couldn't, he didn't know how, and, honestly, he was afraid of her reaction. He knew he had no right to demand anything from her, and yet he couldn't help himself from wishing that things were different.
Letting out a sigh, Kreese walked out his office to start the training.
---------------------------------
Y/N could felt sweat running down her face as she punched again and again as hard as she could.
There was so much to think about that she didn't want to think.
