Sang's pov
*present time*
How does someone get past this? The thought that he might never remember me, what we have shared. The love?
He was my brilliant commander and now he can't even remember my name. He remembers them though he knows Sean and Kota are his second in command and that the others are crazy, funny and loud but, as his gaze landed on me and he looked confused and when his voice. The voice I fell in love with asked me who I was my whole world crashed down.
I got cut by the pieces.
*the day before the incident*
"Ok we have a surprise for you ten!" Kota said happily. It had been a busy month.
Since I joined the academy five months ago it's been hectic we moved in together after confessing our love (some more hesitantly than others). We have finally gotten out of the debt I caused and the academy has been sending us all on missions like crazy!
But today when Kota basically dragged me down the stairs of our three story home and sat me on the couch while the others also crowded in the living room the air seemed to be alive with excitement! Owen cleared his throat and everyone was silenced.
"Alright as Mr.Lee said Sang we have a surprise. We are taking a short trip with no interruptions." He said and my whole world paused I could feel my whole body begin to shake with excitement as my face broke into a huge smile.
"Well it looks like trouble is excited!" Gabriel said laughing at my enthusiasm. I hopped onto my feet and all but tackled Owen into a hug his chest rumbled with silent laughter.
Owens POV
This was the weekend that we were gonna pop the question to sang. The weekend that we propose.
Even the thought made me shiver in anxiety; I try to be the stoic Mr.Blackbourne that my team needs me to be but to be honest I have a hole of doubt in me that my father instilled.
I want this more than anything I've ever wanted in my life. Today is the day that our lives really begin. I wasted six months on a girl named Cynthia who ended up flirting with Sean and cheating on me with a guy at the hospital.
She's a nurse at the academy hospital she's also a total bitch and I don't use the word lightly. Sang is the complete opposite, she's loving and sweet and she never expects me to be someone I'm not. She gets me and that's why there is a box with a ring for her in my pocket.
I've never been more ready to start my life. I finally have a complete family and I wouldn't trade them for the world.
They're mine and I'm hers.
