Hiding in the Closet (Poofless)

Rob walked through his house. Rain lashed the windows and thunder rolled around the skies.
"Wait...thunder OH CRAP!!" thought Rob. He ran to Preston's room "Babe," he called. He was greeted by silence, "Shoot," Rob swore.
He ran to the bathrooms, the living room and ended up in his room, "Preston, baby, please be here honey." As he was called out, a huge roll of thunder ripped through the air. Then Rob heard a soft, scared, little whimper.
He looked around and saw light peaking out from under the door of his closet. He walked over, knelt down and opened the door. Preston was curled up, in a ball as small as he could get, in the corner of the closet, underneath Rob's dress shirts.
"Ohhhh baby come here," Rob crooned holding out his arms. Preston looked up and flung himself into his boyfriends arms. Rob was rocked back on his butt due to the force of Preston hitting him. He ignored the laugh he had bubbling in his chest and wrapped his arms around a very terrified Preston. Just as Preston got into Rob's arms, another giant crash of thunder smashed over head. Preston squeaked in fear, buried his face in Rob's neck and asked in a muffled voice "Can we hid in the closet now."
Rob looked at the terrified boy shaking and trembling in his arms, "If you want my baby lava mob." He got up and moved the two of them in the closet. Preston was sobbing in fear into Rob's neck "I hate this. I hate thunder Robby."
Rob rocked Preston "I know baby, I do." Rob stroked Preston hair. He began to hum Love Bug by the Jonas Brothers (A/N don't judge me. It's an adorable song and perfect for this). He always hummed this song when Preston got scared. Rob kept rocking Preston, when he finished the song, Preston was still crying, but was no longer sobbing painfully hard. He was shaking less and began to pull away just as even bigger crack of thunder was heard. He jumped, and smashed his face back in to Rob's neck. Rob had begun to let go of Preston, but when he jumped Rob pulled him back even tighter then before. Rob put his hand in the back of Preston neck and the other around Preston's waist. He started the song again.
This time, when the song was over Preston had his head tucked under Rob's chin. He had stopped crying and was only shivering every little bit. Rob kissed him on the forehead, and then scooped Preston up into a bridal carry. Preston's eyes grew wide but he knew Rob would never drop him.
As Rob walked past the bed, he grabbed a blanket for Preston. The boys went down to the kitchen. When Rob went to set little Preston down, his arms when around Rob even tighter.
"Baby, if you want Hot Chocolate then you have to let go," Rob said looking down into the deep brown eyes of his boyfriend.
"Promise me you won't leave."
"I swear I won't leave."
Preston's grip on Rob relaxed as Rob set him on the counter.
"Here," he said smiling, as he handed Preston the blanket.
"Thanks," Preston said nervously. He wrapped himself in the soft fabric.
Rob made the warm drink, grabbed his and held his hand out to Preston. Preston slid off the counter, clutching the blanket around him. He grabbed the mug in the hand holding the blanket, and took Rob's hand in his other hand. The two walked to the living room, where Rob lounges on the couch. Preston curled up in the space between Rob and the couch, his head on Rob's hip. Rob flipped the tv on and stroked Preston's hair, "Baby, why didn't you come get me. Why'd you go hide?"
Preston looked up, tears threatening to spill over, "You were recording and I didn't want to be a bother."
"Ohhh Preston. You're never a bother. Now don't cry. We are gonna watch movies for the rest of the day. No work. No crying. Ok Baby?"
Preston smiled, "Sounds perfect. I love you Robby."
"I love you too Lava P."

Hey y'all. It's your Water Princess here. I bet that wasn't what you thought it would be :) It was way cuter then you thought it would be. Poofless isn't my OTP in anyway shape or form, but Preston is just so cute not to write about.
