Lachlan walked in to the house and heard a clatter in the kitchen. Vikk. His small boyfriend was curled up in a ball on the floor of the kitchen. He rushed in and wrapped his arms around the trembling boy. "Vikk, baby, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice full of concern and worry.

Small, shaking hands gripped Lachlan's shirt, "I-I can't..." he said between gasps of air.

"Shhhh baby. I got you," Lachlan said.

Vikk pushed the comforting arms away from. "To-to hoooooot,"Vikk whimpered.

"It'll be ok baby," Lachlan said rubbing Vikk's back.

Vikk pushed away from Lachlan and wretched on to the floor. Lachlan rubbed the smaller boy's back and made sympathy noises at Vikk. "It'll be ok baby."

Vikk kept dry heaving on the floor, his small body rocking violently. He stopped and collased on to the cool tile floor, face pressed against the floor. "Oh sweetheart," Lachlan said, "Come here baby." Lachlan tried to pick Vikk up.

"NO," Vikk shouted hoarsely. He struggled to pull his top off, and press his burning skin to the tile floor. "I don't like this Lachy," Vikk cried.

"I know baby," Lachlan said as he sat on the floor next to his boyfriend. "Here honey, let me," He pulled on Vikk's sweat pants.

The older boy gave a little whimper as the garment was pulled from him. He pressed his body against the tiles. They as though they were made of ice on the boy's burning-up skin.

Vikk struggled to push himself up, he began coughing again. The small boy finally threw up what was left in his stomach. It wasn't much but it was enough to make Lachlan hiss in pain for the boy. Vikk was about to face plant into the small puddle when Lachlan caught him.

"Come on baby," Lachlan said picking up Vikk.

"Noooooo," Vikk whimpered sickly.

"Vikk I'm taking you to bed. Now!" Lachlan insisted.

"Noooo," Vikk sobbed, clutching Lachlan shirt. "I like the floor. It's cold."

"Baby the bed is cool as well," Lachlan soothed.

"Pr-Promise?" Vikk said as he shivered.

"Yes baby," Lachlan carried the small boy to the bed and laid him on the cool sheets.

Vikk buried his face in the cool pillows. "Lachy," Vikk whimpered said with grabby hands.

"Sorry baby. I'll come to bed in a bit."

"Whhhyyyyyyy," whimpered Vikk.

"Well for one I have to clean up your mess in the kitchen," Lachlan said stroking the sweat soaked hair.

"I'm sorry Lachy," Vikk said with tear-filled eyes.

"Hush baby. This is part of loving someone, taking care of them."

Lachlan pulled the sheet over his ill lover, who snuggled into the cool sheets. He went to the kitchen and cleaned up the mess.

Lachlan pulled off his top and jeans and sat on the edge of the bed. "Hey baby," he said as ran his fingers throught Vikk's hair.

Vikk's eye lids fluttered as he whimpered.

"Awww. My poor baby," Lachlan said. He stood up and went to the bath room. He got a wash cloth wet with cool water and carried it back. He laid it in Vikk's forehead. Vikk smiled at the cool touch.

Lachlan felt the wash cloth get warm so he took back to the bathroom. He slipped into the covers. Vikk felt him slid in and turned to him, "La-Lachy?"

"I'm here sweetheart," Lachlan muttered.

The smaller of the two held out his arms, Lachlan pulled the smaller to him. "You're cool Lachy."

"Well I knew that," he chuckled.

"Nooo I mean, coooollllddddd," Vikk whimpered as he presses his cheek to Lachlan's chest.

"Ohhh," Lachlan said as he stroked the boy's burning face.

"Try to get some sleep baby," Lachlan murmured.

Slowly the boy dozed off into an uneasy sleep with Lachlan holding him until morning.
